The suspense is killing me.  Even though I just recently got into them with Low Teens and have none of their vinyl yet, the collection will start with album 9 (Radical??) and I do not want to miss the pre-order!

It's a great feeling continuing to come here thinking the new album/pre-order has been dropped, just to find talk about an album from 9 years ago...

Agreed. I remember when this came out when I was a freshman in high school and thinking it was the heaviest thing I heard at the time. “Irreversal” still rips.
 I wish Alive or Just Breathing was repressed so I’m hoping this album being pressed might breath some life into that. 

I'm no longer as big Mastodon fan as I used to be, that said... Cut You Up With A Linoleum Knife on vinyl almost pushes me into buying this.

You’re making the assumption that everyone is capable of having that type of understanding at that age which is definitely not the case.  As stated by others, kids make impulsive decisions.  Do you think the regret comes from them realizing that they were being groomed, perhaps?  Maybe realized that this guys actions may not be so innocent?   

How exactly am I supporting them? I already owned their music, I don't stream it, I'm not purchasing anything from them, and I'm not sharing it with anyone. I listen to Bowie too, doesn't make him less of a creep for banging a 13 year old as an adult man. Cool straw man argument though.
 
It's a scientific fact that your brain isn't fully developed, especially in the cause/effect and decision making areas at age 15. Most of the countries that consider 14,15,16 as adult are also considered third world countries; the life expectancy is much shorter than in a first world country. It sucks, but that's the way it is and people have to start living adult lives sooner in those places which is why they typically have a lower age of majority. (In Italy the age of majority is 18, so I'm not sure why you think it's less.)
 
It's personal to me because I'm close with a number of women who were raped or sexual exploited as teens or younger, many of whom at the time thought what was happening was normal. It's not normal, and it's not ok for an adult man to do what he did to a 15 year old.
 
I cite US law because that's where he lives, and that's the law he broke. It's still not ok in general for an adult man to manipulate and groom young women into doing/watching sexual acts no matter what country you're in. And just because people sell their young daughter's as brides in Pakistan or whatever country you're thinking of doesn't mean it's ok. Many people in countries that do things like that are actually trying to pass laws to reform those practices.
 
You say you're not defending him, but then you immediately throw a 15 year old girl under the bus as "guilty" when she was being manipulated by an adult. You might as well just come out and say what you keep implying, "Sounds like she was kind of a slut and got what she deserved."

Anyway, you're welcome to disagree, but just know you're going to be way in the minority on this one, and the way you're defending him and putting blame on the victim, people are going to judge you. All your arguments, many of which have either no facts, or insufficient or inaccurate facts also make you come off (to me at least) as a bit of a pedo or at least sympathetic to pedophiles and a misogynist.

Save the cancel culture argument for the Vince Neil’s of the world.  Grooming kids is anything but a mistake and completely inexcusable.

But if you'd read the site I'd linked and listened to the other users, you'd know that while, yes, it's physically very easy to report a crime, many go unreported for the numerous reasons listed on that website. You think this gal's friend group wouldn't have possibly completely abandoned her if she'd gone to the police about their favorite musician? That's just one reason it may have been hard for her to go to the police. And as a child that reason seems very important.
 
What if something happened to you as a kid, but you knew that by telling anyone about it you'd possibly lose every friend you had? Would you still tell anyone? Not too many kids would.
