The idea of attaching speakers to a turntable seem like a dumb one, regardless of how pointless the gimmick of a vertical turntable is.

My favorite goldfinger album! Disappointed to hear the self titled was so lackluster. A little hesitant to grab it now, guess I'll wait till someone can say how the sound quality is. Anyone else listen to the cd expect to hear the time running out beeps when the bridge of superman hits? Hahaha

Looking forward to picking this up. I absolutely second SFUtS. "Coffee, Gad, and Cigarettes" was my anthem for years.

I wouldn't bother listening to a greatest hits album by them. If I'm going to listen to a band I absolutely love, I'm going to play an album start to finish (I feel that way about all albums anyway). I don't have Foo's Greatest Hits for this very reason. Albums are meant to be heard in the order they were tracked (at least in my opinion). Count me out, even though I'll always be a huge Nirvana fan.
 
That being said, this could be a repress of that 2002 hits album.

I've talked to Erik and Denise about it, they're planning on releasing all the old and OOP stuff. I assume it can be hard to allocate the money to repress stuff when there's new stuff on the horizon they also want to release. The downside of DIY punk. This new record is killer though!

It's been one year since I got the vinyl bug and it doesn't appear to be going away any time soon. Right away I could see my spending getting out of hand and we had just started the Dave Ramsey budget plan. This of course made things tricky but it made me very careful what I buy, and more importantly how I buy.
I discovered Discogs pretty quickly and found out it was very easy to set up and sell from. Each week I'd come home with a few garage sale scores to list for sale. As an Amazon Prime member, I not only learned how to search for bargain LP's, I made sure I ordered one at a time so I could keep the packing material (never once have I purchase a shipping box). 
Another help was buying two copies of any limited/variant editions and selling one to basically pay for my copy or at least make it very cheap.
All in all it's gone pretty well and I've tracked all my purchases/sales in the "You Need A Budget" (YNAB) app on my iPhone. Since last June, my out of pocket expense is about $800 and I've got about 400 records. The other good news is I just finished logging them all in Discogs and according to recent sale info, my collection at the low end is at $3400 on the low end and $9500 on the high. Anything used I own is VG+ or better and of course the new stuff is all NM.  While I'm a bit over budget on a monthly basis overall since last June, I've still managed to get a heck of a collection for a relatively low outlay.

Stanton like a lot of DJ table manufacturers make good and bad tables.
 
The bad news is the T62 is bad.
 
 
Sad to say it but this is true which alone wouldn't be it's biggest problem. The main problem is that it has a straight arm with a straight headshell, your cartridge should intersect with the record at 18 degrees which is why there are S shaped arms or straight arms with the headshell angled in at 18 degrees.
 
This sort of table is designed primarily for DJ use for cueing and scratching and not listening as they can never track accurately and the worst side effect of this is premature record wear, they are not as bad as a badly weighted Crosley or something like that but they do tend to make your cartridge go at a funny angle and over time wear the walls of the grooves on your records on one side and because of the cheap tonearm this is worse than on a decent DJ table with nice arm bearings.
 
KAB who are an authority on the daddy of the DJ table the Technics SL1200 wrote a very good article on it to try and stop people buying this sort of table when they didn't understand what they were buying.
