BigSeth reacted to travis in Touché Amore - Stage Four 9/16/16
I got to hear this album and wow...unbelievably good. Still sounds like Touche but as always they've taken another step forward.

I only care that you didn't share it with me. But I do appreciate you not pulling a drewberringer and rubbing it in all our faces at the first chance you got!

BigSeth reacted to Sad Heart in PO: NOW! - Caspian - Dust and Disquiet (9/25/15)
It was, but I'm taking about Mylene Sheath, not specifically Caspian. But yeah, the tour of Waking is a purple marble. I've just always loved the Japanese album cover of Four Trees.

Finally (hopefully) get to leave the hospital tomorrow. Kinda hit rock bottom emotionally, so this is the best news I've had in a long long time. Being home will help me heal physically, mentally and emotionally. Any who, it feels really good to be happy for once.

BigSeth got a reaction from kamalatapes in Official Cancer Patient/Survivor/Care Giver Support Thread
God, that's awful. When I was diagnosed I was admitted into pediatric care. It tore me up seeing little innocent kids suffer and go through this stuff. They were also an inspiration. You're daughter is an inspiration and a hero. It's children like her that give me motivation to get up and keep fighting every day. You should be VERY proud.
Update on my end. PET scan didn't look good. Lymph node lit up pretty hot. Only way to really figure out for sure is another biopsy so that's the next step. This surgery won't be quite as invasive so no ICU time which is nice. Doctors say they are 80% sure it's back, but I'm still holding out hope. Even if it is, I'm ready to fight!

I'm still blown away by all of your kind words. Sorry I never updated. Every time I tried I got too emotional. I went pretty dark about the whole thing and closed a lot of people out here and people I know personally. It was just too hard for me to talk about. Anyway, I did beat it. 1 year survivor in January. Last week I went in for routine scans and they saw some stuff that didn't look good. Their thinking it's a possible recurrence. So I have to go back for more tests Friday and try to get to the bottom of it. Hopefully it's nothing cause I'm definitely not ready to go through all of that again.
I changed the thread title. I don't want the thread to be all about me. All survivors, paitients and caretakers are encouraged to participate in the thread! It would be nice to share stories and connect with you.

BigSeth got a reaction from lemongoat in so is anyone into collection prints/posters also?
I'll pay you cost plus shipping plus a dangling conversation print but seriously if anyone wants to sell that's my offer. I'm willing to negotiate a bit. Now I'll shut up. Congrats btw. -
BigSeth got a reaction from hippielauryn in so is anyone into collection prints/posters also?
I'm really hoping so! "Hugs, etc..." is unbelievable. I would love that as a print, but i think it would have to be pretty huge to be able to see all the details.
I ended up resorting to eBay for "Gypsies". Too much of an emotional connection to his work to not get it. I've loved his work for a long time and have quite a few of his prints, but i really connected to his art emotionally when I was going through cancer treatment last year. I just identified with it and it had this amazing healing affect on me. It was the first time I identified with an art form other than music. It was really cool. His work will always be near and dear to my heart.

It makes me think about how since everyone dies, some day my father is going to die. Then I try not to cry.

BigSeth got a reaction from McCandless in Secret Santa 2014 (the saga continues) Update 12/27/2014 (post your gift pix lazy bastards)
My name is Seth, I'm 23, I'm a cancer survivor so I'm pretty stoked on that.
I love beer, I love coffee, I love tea. Pretty standard. I'm a big Blackhawks, Bears, Bulls, and Cubs fan.
My music is pretty eclectic. I enjoy music from Top shelf, No Sleep, Tiny Engines, Run For Cover which I realize are all fairly similar in styles but my tastes are certainly not limited to that. Always looking to broaden my horizons musically. Although my tastes have shifted away from the more heavier/ hardcore side. I'm a No Sleep Subcriber so maybe nothing from there. I have it all.
Secret Santa, my tradelist is maybe half complete but I think it is a good representation. I'll post a wantlist here soon to try to help you out.
EDIT: here's a quick wantlist I just came up with off the top of my head. Obviously you don't need to buy any of this stuff. But if you're stuck, here you go!
Toe discography
Weezer - Blue Album
Gerard Way - Hesitant Alien
Frank Iero and The Cellabration - Stomach Aches
Prawn - Kingston
AGBPOL - Have You Seen My Prefrontal Cortex
Somos - Temple of Plenty
The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper (mono)
Future Crooks - Future Crooks in Paradise
Sorority Noise - Forgettable
From Indian Lakes - Absent Sounds or Able Bodies
Tiny Moving Parts - Pleasant Living
***** Double EDIT:
Also just wanted to note that anything local from your area such as coffees, teas, beer, or anything really, would be really cool. I like getting to experience things from different parts of the world and country whenever possible since I don't get to travel much.
