Sad Heart reacted to highfives in HUM - Electra 2000 & YPAA Reissues
Went to the Cincy show and it was one of the most unique experiences ever. I highly recommend catching one of these shows.
I chatted with Matt a bit afterwards. He said most likely a July preorder for the reissues, all going through Polyvinyl. Some of the holdup has been cost because they’re releasing all 4 albums at the same time.
I didn’t ask about a Jay print for them or any other details.

Sad Heart got a reaction from achillesstand7 in PO: Codeine - Dessau
I want all the Midwest emocore / slow core / indie / post hardcore / whatever heavy stuff Numero presses. I’m all for it. Can’t wait for Boys Life, American Analog Set, Chino Horde, etc boxes / releases this summer. Gonna be an expensive one, but I have a Numero cube for a reason. I’m actually going to Chicago next month and was excited to be able to visit the Numero outlet, but it’s only open on Fridays.

I’m not sure what they have there. I think they rotate stuff? I found this copy at Reckless Records. I used to own it, but sold it ten years ago for rent money. So I’ve been wanting to get it back for a long time. Picked up some other records too, but I’m going to another Reckless location to check out if they have other Numero releases.

Sad Heart got a reaction from buddha4281 in HUM - Electra 2000 & YPAA Reissues
Agreed. Hoping for simple, single transparent colors myself.
My hopes / guesses:
YPAA - Coke bottle or transparent green.
Electra - Clear
Downward - Transparent Blue (again)
Inlet - Transparent purple

I too installed blinds inside my record cabinets to hide them from the world. It’s nice to know there’s one other person out there who agrees this is the way to hide the shame of how much money we’ve spent on plastic.

Someone on Reddit was saying that when the page was working, you could select the Deluxe listing and it would just pull up the option to select any of the variants? There was also some “placeholder” text, apparently. I’m very curious to see what the deluxe will actually encompass.

Sad Heart got a reaction from prowl20 in City Of Caterpillar - ST getting a repress in 2016
Yup! It’s gonna be wild. It’s an outdoor show on this “island”. They do an outdoor concert series there now and it’s pretty fun. Get all kinds of shows there, but now they’re doing more “heavy” shows. So a ton of people throwing down on the grass by the river is actually pretty damn fun and funny haha.

Sad Heart reacted to prowl20 in Indian Summer - Giving Birth to Thunder
What two songs are missing? I have everything besides the “Live - Blue Universe” CD and the 12” version of the s/t 7” that Adagio released and I never noticed Giving Birth To Thunder was missing anything haha

Indian Summer - Giving Birth to Thunder
Available on Lightning (orange), black vinyl, and digital.
https://numerogroup.com/products/indian-summer-giving-birth-to-thunder?variant=40262784975046
The fourth leg on the early emo table of Rites of Spring, Moss Icon, and Cap’n Jazz, Indian Summer’s Giving Birth To Thunder compiles their complete discography. Emo’s second wave crashed into the Bay Area in the summer of 1994 in a rage-filled capsule of quiet and loud, octave chords, angry sons, Spock haircuts, and screaming. At the eye of this pissed-for-the-hell-of-it storm were Indian Summer. In the quartet’s 12-month existence they wrote ten songs, appeared on half a dozen singles and comps, and played over 100 gigs across the U.S. and Canada before burning out, passing out, and moving out of their Blue House in Oakland. Their hand-screened aesthetic is replicated in alarming detail in the accompanying by 28-page book with detailed liner notes, flyers, and miscellaneous propaganda.
