  2. Next Elusive Sound pre-order cycle begins soon! There will be 2 releases. TRNA will NOT be coming now. You should know what the other release is; it'll be officially announced Sunday/Monday. Bruit - Monolith. FFO: Arms and Sleepers. I literally don't know any other artists like this. "We're happy to announce our next pre-order cycle with this great, first variant of Bruit's EP! Presented in a heavyweight gatefold featuring the first use of spot UV ever for Elusive Sound, this 180g-vinyl LP shows off the endless possibilities of color combinations. Be sure to grab one - only 150 ever made! Pre-Orders will go live Friday, 29 March 2019 20:00 CET on www.elusive-sound.com Once again, THIS IS NOT A MOCK-UP. These are real pictures. This is the standard variant. Deluxe will come tomorrow I'm assuming. I will be handling a group buy for these 2 releases. PM me for pricing details, as we only have a week to get this arranged! Bruit standard: Bruit deluxe: Ravena deluxe: Ravena standard:
  3. FINALLY! The new Paint the Sky Red album is available on 180g black vinyl (/300) and the album is available for listening now. I will be doing a small group buy for this as it will help us save significantly on shipping (1 record starts at $25 and increases only $5 for each one after that. I'd like 2-3 more people to join up) FFO: This Patch of Sky, Of the Vine, Immanu El So far, my favorite track is "Amber", track 2. It's got their signature super-happy and upbeat sense of melody coupled with some cool loops and really energetic drums. I like it a lot! From Bandcamp: This is the very first time we are releasing an album on 12" vinyl. Limited quantities are available and we have no intention to restock. Each piece will be hand-packed and numbered by us with lots of love and gratitude. In a world of digital piracy which heavily affects independent bands like us, it speaks volumes if you choose to purchase our music in the best manner. Show your support; own a physical copy of our hard work. Thank you. - Nurazman, Hakim, Yasser & Fahmi - https://painttheskyred.bandcamp.com/album/there-is-a-tomorrow-you-dont-know
  4. OLD SOLAR - SEE [2xLP] Releases January 18th, 2019, by A Thousand Arms Music, and dunk!records. SEE by Old Solar on double 180g colored vinyl with special screen printed D side. Comes in reverse cardboard cover with design by Flesh And Bone. Available in two vinyl color editions: A Thousand Arms: gold in black (150 copies) dunk!records: gold with orange/yellow splatter (150 copies) (PICTURES ARE NOT MOCK-UPS - these are the actual records) FFO: Mono, Spurv, PG.Lost, The End of the Ocean FIRST LISTEN - check out "Winter Solstice: Hallow the Hushed Earth" exclusively at Dunk!zine, with copy by my very good friend David. https://dunkzine.com/home/2018/12/28/old-solar-winter-solstice-hallow-the-hushed-earth-song-premiere?fbclid=IwAR0j4k9_A4zDKp1yBd4yL72-9hXELDDLmqrbf6G0O3Tpec8OiGUTZ0xOidA It's been a while since I've been this excited about a new post-rock release! The band takes the meloncholy melody of Silent Whale, Mono and Spurv and mixes it with the bad-ass head-bang riffery of The End of The Ocean, PG.Lost, or even Tides of Man. I find myself getting the melody to Hushed Earth stuck in my head for hours. https://dunkrecords.com/products/old-solar-see-2xlp https://athousandarms.store/collections/oldsolar/products/old-solar-see-2xlp
  5. https://shop.napalmrecords.com/oh-hiroshima-resistance-is-futile-black-lp-gatefold.html 300 copies, black vinyl. Not sure if 180g or not. This album is just as good as their sophmore release "In Silence We Yearn" imo, so I'm very psyched to have this. "In Silence We Yearn" has also been repressed, and is available again on black vinyl /300 in gatefold just like this. My 1st press of that album has some sound issues, so I'm wondering if this new pressing has a better quality. https://ohhiroshima.bandcamp.com/album/resistance-is-futile

  8. https://elusive-sound.com/glasir-release-new-dark-age/ Elusive Sound proudly presents “New Dark Age“, the long-awaited debut album from American post-rock/post-metal trio Glasir. Recorded and mixed by Sam Striker at Native Darkness Productions and mastered by Randy Cordner at Beast Mansion, “New Dark Age” is the follow-up to their critically acclaimed 2015 EP “Unborn”, the very first Elusive Sound release. This incredible 3-piece from Dallas, Texas, have crafted a powerfully evocative album where their heavy siege cannon is unleashed and blasts us into a blackened world, where sound resonates in decayed city shells and life submerges in stagnant pools of death. We are one with the shadows hidden midst the smoke hung in a haze that ascends hollow towering walls of steel. It obscures a blood red sun we cannot see yet feel it’s oppressive heat searing down like the breath of hell. This is our tomorrow, a new dark age. Featuring full artwork by Alex CF, “New Dark Age” will be released by Elusive Sound digitally on August 31 and on vinyl at a date yet to be announced. Full album out now, available for download and streaming: https://glasir.bandcamp.com/album/new-dark-age Vinyl TBD, but keep an eye here for group-buy information. I will be conducting the Deluxe group-buy from Elusive themselves, and A Thousand Arms will be getting the non-deluxe variants for USA residents. You can always get a non-deluxe in the group-buy from me to guarantee a copy. As with all Elusive Sound releases, this will sell out, and it will be incredible. Stay tuned!
  9. 09/17/18 UPDATE: PO IS LIVE https://themercuryprogram.bandcamp.com/album/a-data-learn-the-language Starting a master thread for this as I believe we have enough confirmed by the band to assume that a PO announcement is imminent. Everything Was Black And White Except The City Lights 2. Ashes Fall Like Snowflakes, Burying The Sea Fog variant limited to /300 $23.17 ppd in the US. https://www.whiskeyandwaxrecords.com/store/*PRE-ORDER*-I-Hear-Sirens-EP-10th-Anniversary-Edition-p104993959 Check them out on Bandcamp: https://ihearsirens.bandcamp.com/album/i-hear-sirens-ep These guys are a new discovery for me, and it's strange that they don't get more discussion! I find them to be very good, a solid mixture of PG.Lost, Maybeshewill, and some touches of Mono in a very uplifting, positive format. The final track is probably my favorite.
  13. Elusive Sound is very proud to announce its first double vinyl release: Silent Whale Becomes A Dream - Requiem The critically acclaimed conceptional album of the France-based band was released on digital format in late 2017 and will now see a full media release on Elusive Sound. Today, we present you one of the variants that will be on pre-order from May 11, 2018, 8PM CEST (Zurich) with a release on June 1, 2018. It features a special base color configuration on clear and milky vinyl, with splatter in various colors. Of course on 180 - 200g vinyl and kept in a heavy gatefold sleeve. Check back tomorrow for another grand reveal! Full media release means vinyl as well as CD. 33rpm. EDIT: Here is the limited variants (!) Finally, we are happy to present Requiem by Silent Whale Becomes A Dream in the prime variant: Featuring a 100% Swiss made bookcase-style sleeve of the highest quality, made of buckram and carton with hot foil lettering and numbering. With a limitation of only 50 units, it is the most limited variant available. The bookcase-style sleeve is the result of months of conception, testing and careful execution. The heavyweight product houses the gatefold sleeve and LPs and displays the albums cover and title. There will be 50 additional LPs available without the bookcase sleeve and slightly alternate vinyl color configuration (see images for details). These editions feature a vinyl color combination of special Aside-Bside vinyl with splatter, with a weight of 180-200g while being housed in a heavyweight gatefold sleeve.
  14. I've mentioned this band in the black metal thread, but they deserve a topic for the new album, "dénouement", which is going to be released May 1st, with pre-order for the vinyl (scheduled for June 15th) starting the same day. This Canadian band plays a sort of post black metal/post emo/screamo with orchestral parts, they really deserve some attention: https://respirefamily.bandcamp.com/ Nice article by "invisible oranges": http://www.invisibleoranges.com/respire-influences/
  15. Finally!!! From Facebook: Our second full length album, Myra, will be released on Fysisk Format, May 31! Pre-order at Platebutikken Tiger: bit.ly/Myra_Pre-order Digital pre-order at: spurv.bandcamp.com/album/myra The album is a wordless exploration of the enigma of existence through intense and melodic music, noisy drones, orchestral clusters and emotional post rock/metal. Myra is Norwegian for “the marsh.” The album includes musical contributions from among others Ole-Henrik Moe/Kari Rønnekleiv and Tore Ylvisaker/ Ole Alexander Halstensgård (Ulver). Recorded in Malabar Studio by Martin Bowitz (Cold Mailman) and Rajneesh Yrjö-Jurkka Piirakka Maneesh/Emil Nikolaisen (Serena-Maneesh (Official)), mixed by Bowitz and Jørgen Smådal Larsen. Mastered by Magnus Lindberg Productions (Cult of Luna). The album cover is painted by our dear friend Christer Karlstad. Stay tuned, already next week we’ll release the first single of the album: “og ny skog bæres frem” There are 2 variants: Black and a LTD "dual color" black/grey A-side/B-side. No word on whether they are 180g yet. Tigernet prices: Standard black - 18.6 euros (22.92 usd via google - 25.58usd via Bandcamp) LTD - 21.2 euros (26.12 usd via google - 28.15usd via Bandcamp) USA fans: I will be conducting a group-buy with this album! I am trying to tally some numbers because Bandcamp lets us get unlimited number of Myra for only 16.45usd but if you try adding Skarntyde and Blader Som Faller, it adds those records' individual shipping prices to the total without a discount. If we go from Tigernet, we are limited to 6 records at 17.7 euros because adding more jumps us to 40 euros. I have messages out to the band regarding their Bandcamp shipping, and will report back when they have a chance to look into the issue. Send me a message if you'd like to join in!

Check the website for the full list of distro items, and pick them up before they are gone. Additionally, A Thousand Arms is the USA distributor for the Australian contingent, which includes merch/records for We Lost The Sea, Dumbsaint, and Sleepmakeswaves. Have fun guys! I will be updating this thread as new distro stock arrives for them, as well as any new album pre-order announcements. A Thousand Arms has opened up their own record label wing in addition to the screen-printing operation (look for their work with the new The End of the Ocean shirts!) so I am guessing we will start to see more albums popping up soon.
  21. So, there is no info yet but on Facebook, Oceansize just posted a picture a few hours ago of some of the guys in front of Abbey Road Studios with the caption " Today's the day we remaster Effloresce for vinyl.... Sounds fucking delicious xxx " This is such great news. More info to come hopefully!
  22. Europe/World: Stickman Records (Seafoam Green Vinyl) Napalm Records (Black Vinyl) Amazon UK (Unspecified variant) US: Armageddon Label (A/B Light Blue/Red ; C/D Red/Green Vinyl) Deathwish, Inc. (Bone/Orange Mix Vinyl) Revolver USA/Midheaven (Clear/Green Vinyl) Tee Pee Records (Rainbow Splatter) Tracklist: 1. Sanctuary [11:13] 2. The Falling Veil [11:12] 3. Staving Off Truth [10:18] 4. Blind [13:23] 5. Sonntag [8:39] 6. Thousand Hands [9:36] Band members and friends Nick DiSalvo, Jack Donovan and Matt Couto already dismissed any last remains of stoner metal stereotypes on "Lore" (2015). Their current album, which was written following the long and acclaimed Lore tour in moments ofintense creativity, is a journey into prog rock and psychedelic worlds. Six monumental songs, huge in sound, each of them their own cosmic expedition. What begins as driving mid-tempo rock filled with heavy guitar riffs repeatedly erupts into melodic tangents and clever variations. The high demands that DiSalvo places on his own songwriting seem to become more unfettered from minute to minute – as does the pleasure of listening to him. Guest musicians Michael Samos and Mike Risberg have added additional guitars, pedal steel and keyboards to the trio, making Elder’s sound more voluminous than ever, and the influences found here range from 70s prog dinosaurs such as Yes, King Crimson or Pink Floyd to their kindred spirits in the European psychedelic and space rock scenes. And it is of course a cliché, but Elder bring their own organism to life from all these influences. Elder already strike out on their chosen path on the album opener “Sanctuary”. What begins as a trademark stoner song turns on its own axis several times at minute four, morphing into lyrical polyphonic pickings and using a Mellotron to sweet-talk its way to an unfathomable and brutal finale. “The Falling Veil” moves between Thin Lizzy with palpitations and undulating progressive riffs. Those who think of Kyuss during “Staving off Truth” won’t be able to hold that thought the entire 11 minutes of the song. And as hymn-like as the riffs can be, the band never settles down to one part for longer than two minutes. But at the same time, the songs never lose their coherence, because all parts are logically woven into one another. And it could be that “Sonntag”, a detour into the Krautrock motorik functions of Neu!, most clearly shows the limitless cosmic ambitions of Elder. Elder will be taking Reflections of a Floating World live to European fans in July and August 2017, followed by a USA tour in the fall. The East Coast trio will be a quartet for the first time ever on these tours with the addition of Mike Risberg on second guitar and keyboards. Anybody who has already seen Elder live know that they shouldn’t miss the opportunity to see them on this tour! It’s time to get euphoric. With Elder’s fourth full-length album, an epic piece of rock music will be released unto the world. And we think that’s a reason to celebrate...
  23. Post-rock/screamo/post-hardcore fans! This one is for you guys! You can listen to the tracks at the link below: http://modern-vinyl.com/2017/03/03/exclusive-spin-arrowheadforever-losing-sleep-split/ Ambient noise can either be a counterpoint to monstrosity, or a complement. In the case of Boston’s Arrowhead and New Jersey’s Forever Losing Sleep, the midpoint lies in an overarching appreciation for melodic, far-reaching post-rock. On this 12″ vinyl split, Arrowhead uses the cinematic sprawl of their opening guitars, negating them minutes later on their contribution “Thousand Palms, Sung and Reposed” with scorching post-hardcore intensity. On the flip side, Forever Losing Sleep’s “Woken By the Sun” takes a lighter approach to genre fusion, where vocals float over instruments that peak and plummet alongside a frenetic emotional barometer. There’s a lot to unpack here — two songs total over 16 minutes — and plenty to return for, which is a testament’s to each band’s brand of grandiose, embattled songwriting. Pre-orders found here: http://lifeisafunnything.bigcartel.com/product/arrowhead-forever-losing-sleep-split-12-funnything36 lifeisafunnything is more than proud to present you this breathtaking split record! Two bands, two songs and a running time of 17 minutes full of intense emotions, desperate outbursts and fulgent melodies! ARROWHEAD from Boston and FOREVER LOSING SLEEP from New Jersey, both deliver their best effort so far by leaving musical borders behind and creating a 17 minute long trip through darkness and light on this onesided record! If you really need comparisons: If ever The Saddest Landscape decides to team up with Envy, then this might come close to how ARROWHEAD sounds. And well, FOREVER LOSING SLEEP, how to describe them? Dredg comes to mind, Explosions in the Sky too, a lot of early 2k emo/screamo-bands, without sounding really like one of them. It is jus great music! And the biggest surprise is, how this dark, deep song by ARROWHEAD and this bright and epic track by FOREVER LOSING SLEEP together form such a coherent and beautiful piece of art! 200 onesided records are made. Each copy comes with a downloadcode and a lyricsheet. Pressing info: 100 clear yellow w/ black smoke 100 clear turqoise w/ white smoke
  24. Taken from www.elusive-sound.com (look at those variants!!! Not mockups!) Berne, Switzerland, February 10, 2017: Elusive Sound is very proud to announce the release of Au Revoir’s “Veles” on vinyl in Europe. Pre-orders start Friday, February 17 at 20:00 Zurich time. Official release date March 3, 2017. Au Revoir are a heavy expansive instrumental rock five-piece from New Jersey. The band now consisting of Eric Annicchiarico, Tyler Mandich and Gregg Peterson on guitar, Carl Kranz on bass and Tyler Gilbert on drums have an exceptional ability to create sublime, expansive soundscapes and hypnotic crushing doom. After two solid releases in “In the Key Of Night” (2012) and “Black Hills” (2013) Au Revoir went into Backroom Studios with the intent of their next album sounding as huge as they do live. They have at long last not only accomplished that with Scot Moriarty but also produced an absolute stunner of an ever-evolving concept album that we immediately embraced and were determined to release in Europe. Au Revoir have reformed themselves as a huge serpent, coiling tightly around the roots that lead us into the wet underworld of Veles. It is not only a world of wet grassy plains and eternal spring but one where we find ourselves in the deepest of caverns, watched over by the ghosts of the dead, awaiting impending doom. Veles is richly bleak with decadence but the listener never succumbs or falls prey. He watches the ground ripple like water and feels an irresistable urge to be lost in Veles’ violent sway. Au Revoir have shed their old skin and are now full-bodied and in constant transformation, reborn as a lethally charged bringer of chaos. Veles unveils the descent of man into utter misery. When one stands and contemplates his fate, the troubles that have fallen, looks back at the path they have taken to reach their end, surrendering to their undoing by taking one last breath and bracing themselves for the full force of impact, as the water comes rushing over. The LP features stunning full artwork by Dylan Partridge and will be released on two high quality Gatefold coloured variants, Transmigration limited to 150 copies and Rebirth limited to 100 copies, featuring an additional numbered art-print by Dylan Partridge. Both variants will be sold via our official label website shop at http://elusive-sound.com/catalog/
