  1. Trying something new out. I wanted to have a place for my friend's bands, Connecticut locals / whatever (past and present), and a bunch of other good music. I'm having fun so far, take a peek if you'd like: Death Couch FFO: dark hardcore, doom, metal
  2. http://driftwoodrecords.storenvy.com/collections/81548-all-products/products/7124066-panuccis-pizza-songs-for-ghosts-to-trash-to-pizza-picture-disc-7 Some pizza-looking 7" lathe cuts from West Chester, PA's Panucci's Pizza, ya dingus.
  3. Hampshire is releasing their first record in over a year. In between playing drums for Detroit bands Fireworks and Loose Planes, Ted Roberts sings and plays guitar for Hampshire. The band recently premiered the first track from the upcoming 7" at Absolute Punk, check it out here. The record is limited to a first pressing of 200 hand-numbered 7" records (100 Black, 100 Orange) and is scheduled for a release date of 10/31/2014. The first pre-order package is currently available (record only) and others will follow later in the week via Save Your Generation Records. Pre-order here. Album artwork by Brent Mosser.
  4. Didn't see anything via search so here goes... As the title says, this thread was originally dedicated to pop-punk (I tend to be loose with the definition...just fyi) bands featuring female leads or all-girl line-ups, and has essentially evolved into pretty much any genre, which is even better. I truly enjoy these kinds of bands, and am always stoked to hear the ladies lay it the fuck down. I know there are lots more out there, but these 5 have been in heavy rotation for me recently. Feel free to chime in with stuff you are into, preferably of the DIY/independent variety...no need for this to become another Paramore thread haha. Anyway, I digress... 5. SCREAMO / BLACKMETAL / CRUST / DREAMO / PUNK Another excellent split from OLD SOUL, this time with the great LENTIC WATERS! OLD SOUL (/w members of CLOUD RAT) play a mixture of Screamo, Post Rock and Black Metal and they left lots of open mouth`on their recent tour. LENTIC WATERS play heavy music that combines atmospheric instrumental parts with chaotic, metallic and doomy breakdowns. 12. We have newcomers at Solar Flare Records, we're glad to release the upcoming album of THE GREAT SABATINI entitled Dog Years : PREORDER SLF015 :: THE GREAT SABATINI - Dog Years LP out June 2nd (+mp3 coupon) ORDER HERE THE GREAT SABATINI’s third proper full-length, Dog Years was recorded, mixed and mastered by Sean Pearson (Cursed, Shallow North Dakota), and boasts the band’s raw, unpolished approach to capture n act with years of accumulated experience touring, writing and recording together. The aim was to create a hi-fi document with all of their lo-fi sensibilities, grit and live energy intact, and the results are astoundingly destructive. The band tackles an endless array of approaches within the delivery of their well-honed and devastating hooks and vocal styles. Through a spew of independent and unsigned singles, EPs and two previous full-length releases since 2008 amidst bouts of regional touring as well as extensive tours of North America and Europe, the band has gained a loyal fanbase within the noise, metal and sludge circuits, including the heads of Solar Flare Records, who now brings the band into their ever-expanding roster of gnarled audio chaos, for the release of Dog Years. Vinyl Infos : :: 500 12" vinyl on two different colours : - 200 Transparent Red - 300 Black :: Thick jacket cover :: Download coupon :: Price : 11.90€ + shipping (preorderers get a 10% discount) SOLAR FLARE RECORDS : Website | Bandcamp | Facebook | Twitter | Web Store | Youtube | Soundcloud | Instagram THE GREAT SABATINI : Website | Bandcamp | Facebook | Twitter | Web Store | Instagram
  13. Trying to complete my Fireworks discography so I can start working on variants. Let me know if you've got a copy and want to sell! I'll buy multiple copies if you've got em, too. Thanks! Also, if anyone wants to trade their clear w/ black splatter copy of Oh, Common Life for the red/black starburst variant, I've got a copy still in the shrink I'm looking to get rid of.
  14. For sale, Brand new unopened Dude ranch & Greatest hits PM offers. Might ship international, i dont know yet.
  15. Like the title says, I know everyone has a blog, but it would be nice to get some feedback on mine. It's called Octaves In Grooves and you can check it out by clicking here. To me it seems like a lot of reviews are filled with bullshit you don't want to read. I'm tryin to make clear and concise entries about the quality of vinyl releases and album reviews. I don't think most people want crazy analogies for their music or even semi-technical terms when reading reviews. So my goal is simplicity always. Right now, I'm just covering what I like, when I can. Also, it would be awesome if you followed me on Twitter and Instagram. Thanks so much. http://octavesingrooves.com/2014/07/08/best-albums-of-2014-so-far/
  16. MURMURS- "Bound" LP "Seattle, Washington's kings of crusty pop-punk are back with their first official full-length album. Last year saw the vinyl release of the bands' debut batch of songs titled, "Fly With The Unkindness" (Dead Broke Rekerds). Well, Murmurs are back and are here to kick the goddamn door in with, "Bound". Drawing from earlier pop-punk influences (ranging from the East Bay to the Northwest), the band pushes further on with their dark, urgent & poppy melodic tones. All while churning it up with a chunk of fuzzed-out grunge rock, this time around. If you weren't a believer before, then you will be now. An outstanding effort & one of our favorite records of the year, straight up. (Members of: Snuggle, Pipsqueak, No Hi-Fives To Bullshit, Transient & more.) Coming August/September 2014. Listen to "The Void" here: http://noisey.vice.com/blog/murmurs-the-void-song-premiere Pre-order for Teal/Turquoise Color Vinyl (Limited to 100) available here: http://www.deadbrokerecords.com

  18. My friends in Young and Heartless have announced their upcoming full-length on Mayfly Records entitled "The Pull of Gravity"! Young and Heartless' sound tips their cap to a wide range of bands, such as Brand New, Manchester Orchestra, and Bright Eyes - but at times also pays homage to originators of the style, like Cap N Jazz and American Football. 22. PUNKTASTIC ARE STREAMING THE FULL ALBUM AT http://punktastic.com/radar/stream-the-new-officer-down-album/ Evesham (UK) fast-paced punks Officer Down are set to release their new ‘Dead Lands’ LP next month. Drawing influence from melodic punk acts such as Strike Anywhere, Anti-Flag and Descendents, the trio often outshine their heroes in pace, injecting a healthy dose of skate-punk into the mix. ‘Dead Lands’ is a hybrid of punk and hardcore that retains its relentless pace throughout. There’s no letting up in the dominating and exhausting drum beat in tracks such as ‘Open Waters’. Hitting shelves on the 7th July via TNS Records, we are streaming ‘Dead Lands’ in full ahead of its official release. Keep up with this one! PREORDER ON CD/VINYL HERE: http://www.tnsrecords.co.uk/?product_cat=pre-order
