feralpanda
Everyone has their own interesting and eclectic mix of records...which genres do you specialize in? I'm always fascinated to hear what styles other people get excited about. Be as vague or specific as you want! I've got a lot of 90s rock, trumpet-focused jazz, 2000s metal, and 90s dance

ajhall04
Early 60's garage (I don't do Beatles though): An expensive and becoming quite difficult to find these, but great comp reissues are becoming more and more prevalent. 45's: I try and buy multiples of represses of rare items for my Juke Box. Luckily, i've had the arm and cartridge modified so it isn't overally damaging to 45's. I think its a beautiful thing to find some beat up 60's tune and it plays pretty damn good. Rx Bandits, just one of each release/or contributions And I have a weird fascination of buying a local record from places I visit, usually a 45. I'm sure I have some other smaller collections as well.
8ight
Right now, I'd say it's about 50% "metal" and 25% "electronic." So being vague, that's what the majority of my music is. Actually, I guess I can be a bit more specific. I'll say: doom, hardcore, stoner rock, drone, trip-hop, and downtempo as the majority. Number11
Soundtracks are probably 40% of my entire collection. About 25% on Hip Hop (Mainly 90s). The other 35% is split evenly between other genres.

thoughtsky
Mostly (Post-)Hardcore but I have the sudden urge to buy more 90s Indie / Emo records.
museummouth
Everything except country, with a tendency towards older emo, soundtracks, 90s alternative, and 80s punk.
Werner Herzog
Ramonescore, Pop Punk, Old Hardcore (which I'm starting to thin out), Emo & Experimental
deletedunknown
Kind of wish, now, that there was something to analyze discogs collections to chart out genres kind of like sputnik does with reviewed releases. I know when I started collecting it was very post-rock/metal heavy. Now I've branched out much more and have no idea.

dkrtz
I tend to gravitate towards teenage nostalgia and things I'm interested in currently which I can see myself cherishing as nostalgic-for-now in a decade.

raidenradio
90s dance I must know what you have any where I can get some. I used to love jamming those Pulse 90's dance compilations.

tarzioo_
The majority are soundtracks. I love soundtracks! After that, it's all music you'd hear in your local hipster coffee shop. I used to feel shame but I realized I have worse things to be ashamed about.

dkrtz
I find this statement to be absolutely ridiculous. What's ridiculous about cherishing physical reminders of years past? A slow warm death record will always bring me back to the days spent all throughout 2013 listening to it and the memories I made then in the same way a History of Trunks VHS tape will always remind me of the days whenever eight year old me insisted on watching it every day. Part of my attachment to physical belongings has always been associating them with the memories which have been embedded in them. Dunno how that is ridiculous.
