ARE WE RIGHT?! haa.. i really have no clue what the records are made of but there are a couple heat lamps on the machine to soften it up while the needle is cutting it. the low frequency hum comes from the vacuum that sucks up the fibers that get cut away from the blanks.. i tired to make it as quiet as possible, but i think its only really noticeable in quieter parts.
