TheGhostOfRandySavage
That's pretty sweet, and the B-side is gorgeous. I don't know anything about it though.

Crossy71
Wow, major problem then... its really cool and i want to keep it as a display piece, on the other hand thats a major help in buying a good record player

TheGhostOfRandySavage
Yeah...it's rad and all, but I would definitely sell that if it were mine
overdue
Plus, it's made of shellac. I'd take extra care with it, that material can get brittle and shatter.
nancy_raygun
That is really cool, I'd hold onto it if I were you Record it, I wanna hear it Here's a clip of someone else recording their copy

souljacker8888
i'd hang on to it, for coolness factor alone. if you think you might end up selling, it, notice the price decline by date on there... seems the two that really wanted it, got theirs, and the bidding pool weakened dramatically after that... The Vool
Sell it, unless you listen to war sounds on a regular basis...
̮ ɤ ̮
Sell it, unless you listen to war sounds on a regular basis... My favourite is the WW II soundtrack. LPancakes
Crossy71
i think ill try selling it then, the record player im after is about £200 so it wold certainly help, or let me get a better one. The Audio Technica AT-LP120 looks like a good player for that price range
LPancakes
thats cool, where did you find it?
omik11303
That thing is baller as hell. Agreed. Beyond cool. You couldn't pry that thing out of my hands if I owned it.
McCandless
I'd hold onto it until I really needed the extra money. Stuff like this is cool, unless you're desperate for a few extra dollars I'd keep it for sure.
Crossy71
I had it given to me a long with a fair few other old records as a thank you for some charity work i did a few years back. As for selling it, i would want it picking up as i would be terrified of it breaking in shipping (i have bad luck with the post office). I just bought a Audio Techinca LP120 so the sale of the record would help buy some nice speakers or a good pair of headphones.

nickxmurphy
I didn't know historical recordings of lesser significant were pressed. I've heard of WWII Nazi youth rants/dialogues being pressed, but not battle atmospherics.
overdue
I think it would be hard to argue that World War One was insignificant.
TheGhostOfRandySavage
I think it would be hard to argue that World War One was insignificant. I don't think he was referring to the war itself, more the fact that any specific gas shell bombing was significant enough to record to a record. That said, back when it was recorded, that was how it was done, so it wouldn't have had to be all that significant to be made into a record. edit: record record record. overdue
Sure. It was for a war bond effort, so I'm assuming any shelling would've done.
