dapeebs
Damn, that should definitely include a ticket. Thought I heard a rumored repress of Menos would be included with this? If you wanted a shirt, the LP, and of course the ticket, that's almost $150 you'd be dropping. Ughhh
GradedOnACurve
Yeah wife just called me about the e-mail. Fuck this VIP trend but I am excite about 10th Anniversary Reissue. Also Meno El Oso front to back...YES!
dapeebs
Yeah wife just called me about the e-mail. Fuck this VIP trend but I am excite about 10th Anniversary Reissue. Also Meno El Oso front to back...YES! I've only seen them once. They opened for Circa Survive. And I knew none of their material. Definitely excited for this album in its entirety. And I'm assuming they'll be playing a whole bunch more, seeing as Menos is only like 40 minutes. So excited.
ChardeeMacDennis
It's not out of press though...

Guest
Yeah, kinda glad I'm not variant-chasing MTB anymore and happy I've sold all my duplicates!
GradedOnACurve
They did 2 shows on the last tour where they did all of menos and still did an extra 5 songs Ok? Many people did not see said shows. Satan
GradedOnACurve
It's not out of press though... I mean there is a trend going on here... (this is where Juan jumps in because this is a Minus The Bear thread and "the hobby.")
dreamover
I mean, no one here is dumb enough to fall for a more expensive "10 Year Anniversary Reissue Edition of Menos el Oso vinyl" when it's still in print and sounds great, right? RIGHT?
Papi Blanco
Ok? Many people did not see said shows. This wasnt to be rude, dapeebs said he was assuming that they play more songs. I was just solidifying this claim. Sorry?

jhulud
The email I am looking at now and w/ ordering info says that the ticket IS included in the VIP package which is $100. Minus The Bear VIP Experience Package Includes: 1 General Admission Ticket VIP Meet & Greet with Minus The Bear Soundcheck Viewing Limited Edition VIP Silkscreen Poster 10 Year Anniversary Reissue Edition of Menos el Oso vinyl 1 Commemorative VIP Laminate 1 Exclusive VIP Tote Bag
jhulud
Oh. Some dates have it listed as "VIP Upgrade" while others have "VIP Ticket Package". I guess it depends on the venue.
pmlevine
They had the same package on the Beer Commercials tour, with the tour exclusive vinyl of Lost Loves. It was a cool experience but don't think I'd shell out $100 again. They still sold the tour exclusive to the public. The 10 Year Anniversary Reissue should be available if you just want to get a ticket and not the bundle.
kidamnesiac
Why would you buy a ticket when you get a tour laminate in the package? This band's marketing gimmicks are starting to really grind on me. That said, I'll probably still hit one of these tour dates.
HoneyFrosted
I did think it kind of odd that Menos El Oso was the only record of theirs where there didn't seem to be a bunch of variants. I guess it was just a matter of time. It does seem rather pointless when it's still available from a lot of places. s_r0d

wiscodeman
Murder By Death and Aero Flynn opening for the Chicago show is fucking sweet. Too bad it's on a Sunday. Still going to try to make it though.
Papi Blanco
Just ordered my VIP Package. When you break down the cost, its really kind of worth it (Tix: 30+ 6 service fee, Poster: 20, Vinyl: 20, and everything extra)

When you break down the cost, its really kind of worth it (Tix: 30+ 6 service fee, Poster: 20, Vinyl: 20, and everything extra) I did as well for one of the nights in Orlando. I'll go regular tix for the other night.

birdwell
man....I wish artist management would stop with all of these VIP meet and greet extras. Bands (that I've seen doin this) really aren't into it, it totally slows down soundchecks, it makes it so the sound engineers and monitoring engineers can't do their jobs as easily, most of the time half of the VIP fans get weirded out or not jazzed or don't understand what a soundcheck is....all an all it's an awkward experience over all and is 100% artist management trying to squeeze some extra money out of shows. agaetisbyrjun
