anyone else notice that they shipped member store items with the record of the month this month?

glad I paid that extra shipping for each record

They do this every month. However, if you are in the States, it should be free shipping on member store purchases, no?

Or was it items from the 'garage sale'? The garage sale is public and may have required extra shipping costs as it does not require a membership or Crate subscription.

They've waited to ship it all together to me a few times, although I don't think I've ever paid shipping on anything - even the garage sale items.

Only people that I know that have to pay shipping are international subs (like myself) where we have to pay extra for each piece we order from the member store, even though they do come with our already fairly expensive member package ($33 USD / $43 CAD); so I'm curious to know where those charges came from.

all shipping costs are worked into the total price of each shop item or AOTM for US buyers.

just saying they should waive the crate fee from the store if they are shipping both types of orders together.  if i'm not mistaken, their whole push for that $6/mo fee was that it was the shipping cost basically (and to see what's in the store)

To be honest, I'm not sure they ever explicitly stated that the $6 fee was for shipping. There is a lot of overhead with running the business, including the store, forums, and working with distributors / getting things pressed; so I feel that is where the $6 goes (as well as trying to ensure all members don't just jump on a Crate membership that is free).

A lot of people justify the $6 as the shipping fee so I can definitely see where you are coming from.

This makes no sense to me.  If you are crate, you aren't necessarily ordering the AotM.  In fact, you probably aren't or why wouldn't you just get that AotM and avoid the 6 dollar fee...   They almost always ship both store purchases and the AotM together, thus, you could view it as paying $21 for the AotM plus 6 dollars shipping for it and whatever other purchases you make that month.   It's WHY they ship everything together.

If you are only buying from the store via a crate then, yes, that six dollars is basically your shipping fee.   That, and as somebody else pointed out, you are helping pay for the overhead of their employees, ext.
