Finally a thread I can relate to...

Teen Suicide

Trouble Books-Arms Full of Lemons

Eyedea & Abilities-By The Throat

William Bonney

Talons'

Park Jefferson-Couches

Suis La Lune

Elvis Depressedly

There is so much I just can't put up all that dirt. All bands without song titles simply have sad songs across the board. Just pick a song.

The Ghost Inside - "White Light"

the singer wrote this song about his brother that passed away in his sleep...this year on their US tour its the first time they've played it. he gets overwhelmed with emotion during the end of the song and has to look away from the crowd. after seeing it the first time, i talked to him about it after the show for some time..then seeing it again, it was just so intense. i was photographing for them, and i felt bad for taking photos of him in that state.

Sometimes I feel like there is a fine line between writing something devastatingly sad and doing something just middle-school melodramatic. I may have mentioned it In this thread, but there's a line in the William Elliott Whitmore song "Porchlight" - "if I didn't have these IVs in my wrists, I would hold you in my arms" - that comes a lot closer to making me choke up than all the sappy, crying in my Cheerios purple prose that most people write these days. Cut my wrists and black my eyes so I can fall asleep tonight.
