My copy of the Mellon Collie 4xLP came from Amazon like that. I've also had plenty of records shipped in broken down boxes. It is seriously the craziest thing that people think that's okay. Always from eBay, too. Shit, just remembered before I hit submit that my OG copy of From Under the Cork Tree was shipped like that.
