mikewilliamson
EMPIRE RECORDS Yeah, it didn't sound great. Didn't really expect it to. Why would you not expect it to sound good? With only 3-4 songs per side, and a major record company behind it, there should be no reason to have such a poor vinyl pressing job. Really, it's probably the worst sounding record I've bought in years. It sounds kind of like a crappy 33rpm 7", all squashed sound, rather than a double 12". Sigh...It'll look good on the shelf, but honestly the CD sounds better, which is a shame.

Vinyl Fury
EMPIRE RECORDS Yeah, it didn't sound great. Didn't really expect it to. Why would you not expect it to sound good? With only 3-4 songs per side, and a major record company behind it, there should be no reason to have such a poor vinyl pressing job. because I've just come to expect that from releases like this. they didn't set out to release an audiophile pressing, they just knew they could sell some vinyl copies. it's harder to make compilations sound really good anyway with all the different source material. could it have sounder better? sure, I just knew better than to expect it. nothingnatural
Crosses 7" Mastodon/Feist 7" Mastodon/Lips 7" Pelican/Playing Enemy 7" Pelican - Australasia (black) Botch - Anthology (red) Tomahawk box set Got everything I really wanted. Wanted the haze version of that Pelican album badly just because HH haze records look awesome. I got screwed out of the haze Botch (even though I ordered the minute they went up) and then people ordering from Amazon UK got a bunch of haze ones. Oh well. Seen quite a few haze Pelicans on eBay already. Bitched about prices this year and still caved in and bought more than I should have. Oh well, I had fun and had an all around awesome day.
