jerseydave77
My Mom was clearing out a box of old stuff and found this today: I thought I'd lost it many years ago but this record was the first I ever owned. When I was 6 in 1983 my Dad did a case for Dave Stewart of Eurythmics fame. As a thank you for all his efforts Dave had my father, my sister and myself join him at their concert at the Garden State Arts Center (Now PNC Bank Arts Center). Backstage I was given this record and it was signed to me by both Dave and Annie Lennox. That night The Eurythmics became my first concert and I was hooked on music from there. When I was 6 this was my greatest treasure, I have no idea why I lost it but it's awesome to have this back. This could become the first record I frame but I'll probably just prop it up on a shelf. donttchange
Very cool, I recently found my first record when I moved back into my moms house. The movielife's self destruct 7". Don't really have a cool story, got it as a gift from a friend. Was pretty jazzed about it though.

californiaflow
Nice! My first record was Brand New's TDAG. A buddy gave it to me for Christmas; he found it in the clearance bin at Hot Topic.
dethrock
I figured this would be a blink 182 or Brand New thread but I was pleasently surprised. This is awesome. My parents had quite a few records but I never had any as a kid. That's awesome that you found this again after all those years!
monsterrod
I just found my first as well: Waylon Jennings Dukes Of Hazzard soundtrack 7". I've been playing the shit out of it, too.

Edit: it ain't coca cola, it's rice. almightyseancore
mameeshkamowskwoz
Found a copy of Mike Watt's Ballhog or Tugboat on blue vinyl signed for five bucks in a used bin. Such a good album that has to hold some record for most guest musicians.

Yeah! Bernie Worrell + Mike Watt + J Mascis is such a great trio for a track. Against the 70s with Eddie Vedder kicks as much ass as some of the best Pearl Jam songs (IMO) Flea, some beasties, Frank, Hank... such a gem and Piss Bottle Man is such a great song! Shelby
How much does it usually go for? According to popsike $150 is about the average for a real copy (lotsa fake ones on there). That's still surprisingly low for a 20+ year old /1000 debut release from a band as great as Pavement.
nothingnatural
Botch/Cave-In split Nice find man. Hit me up if you decide you wanna get rid of the Cave In/Botch split at a "nice price."
timbrh2001
I recently found the first album I ever bought (The Broadways - We All Know That You Can Do It 7") at my parents house.
