derby625
Who here is an active user of discogs.com? I am on there waaaay too much between cataloging my collection/submitting unique releases/fixing disaster submissions. Basically I'm looking for other people here that know their releases and/or can vote on discogs to help clean up some releases.

aphasias
I'm an active user as well, though usually just cataloging my collection and submitting unique releases. If you need help I wouldn't mind taking a look and seeing what I can do when I've got free time on my hands.
soundofsulfur
I prefer to use a google docs spreadsheet, I hate not being able to make personal comments or notes on records in my collection. withengineheart, RowBearToe and 000000

topher
Yeah, I've done some discogs here and there, what of it? On there constantly, actually, but a spreadsheet is probably a much better idea...

gutzonborglum
So now we've got a happy taco and a complaining hot dog in this thread? I enjoy discogs for browsing/buying, but I'm far too lazy to do much else on there. Until I lose my job, or my wife leaves me, or I decide to put my underwear on and nothing else that day, I'm going to keep my collection on deadformat. timbrh2001
I use discogs on my tablet to help pick out what I want to listen to, since going through 550 LPs by hand is just too time consuming.

crapforgenius
I used to be pretty thorough about adding releases that weren't there/cleaning up releases with correct information. However, the process is incredibly arduous - especially for adding something that's not already there - and they're super nit-picky about things - fair enough, I suppose - so I just wait for someone to do it for me with new releases or don't bother if I come across something that isn't already listed. That said, it's my favorite site I've found for cataloging a collection, making various notations on personal items, etc. The wantlist e-mails every day have gotten me into trouble more than once. Guest
i tried adding an item one time, and arduous is accurate. i gave up on it half way through because the demands are too thorough.
