You can get a 2TB external for under $100 and it takes no time to automate a nightly backup! Glad you're able to recover a lot of stuff, I can't imagine how big of a pain in the ass that is Yeah, I'll definitely be keeping everything backed up after this. I have a 1TB external drive (that....didn't have anything on it) which will be religiously used from here on out. Fun fact: power outlets are supposed to be installed upside down from how almost everyone has them installed to prevent situations like this. The ground pin should be on top.
