I'm with you actually as far as preferring "Napalm Dream", but I still really, really LOVE "The Blind Wink." I had to work the union job tonight (I'm an associate rep, meaning I get to work on the shorty projects, basically). It went terrible. I really think if I got to do the rewarding parts, I'd love the job. It's risky, job-security wise, but it might be worth it. But it went so bad. I feel like they won't offer me the job anytime soon. There's an opening for the position I want right now in a city that seems pretty decent, that is near where I want to relocate to. It just makes my skeleton itch thinking about whether I should take it and blow the opportunities that the union has given me (stepping on a lot of toes in the process). It would also be screwing my current employees in the process for me to leave this month, either way. They tell me I have to think of myself and they don't owe me anything, but id still feel bad, because the main manager is on medical leave and there is nobody worthwhile to replace me. But you're right, you have to do what's best for you in situations like this. You can't be thinking about the people you'll be passing by in the process.
