I was just there with the family a week ago. We did a road trip to Seattle to meet up with some friends and their kids. We also stayed in Bend, on the Oregon Coast and Ashland.

I got to go to the house from Goonies when we were in Astoria.

I went there last summer and so did Barkinglot.

A few...

Weed: Mt. Shasta Brewing Company

Bend/Sunriver: Bend Brewing Company, McManamins Old St. Francis School, Sunriver Brewing Company, Crux Fermentation Project, Deschutes, 10 Barrel Brewing Company

Seattle: Random 22's and growlers with the friends

Oregon Coast: Buoy Beer Company (Astoria), Seaside Brewing Company (Seaside)

Eugene: Falling Sky Brewing

Ashland: Caldera Brewing Company

I also brought home a dozen 22's to share with the friends, some of which I haven't had yet.

If I had more time and less kids...

You really did it up. That's awesome. I loved my time spent at Deschutes. They were doing tasters of all their barrel aged and rare stuff when I was there. So good.

Trust me...I would have done more if it were possible.

The nice thing about everywhere we stayed was that the breweries were all walkable. Everything was so close to one another in Bend and we were 1-1/2 blocks from Caldera in Ashland. I just strapped the baby on and we walked from place to place and had appetizers/beers, dinner/beers, desert/beers. My oldest is so used to it that he gets excited for the next place.

What kind of car was it?

98 Ford Escort because I'm a baller.

In the past two years I've put triple what the car is worth into it. The transmission would cost almost double what it's worth and there would still be a bunch of shit wrong with it. At this point a new car is the only investment that would make any sense at all.

Our country's built-in necessity of automobiles bites a dick. I wish I lived in a city where I could walk/ bike to work. I guess I could, but then I'd have to wake up REALLY early and I don't do early. Also I like having my little 3/4 acre yard. We have like 6 birds, 4 squirrels, a few chipmunks, and a family of bunnies always around. It's nice.

I live in a city but my girlfriend and I both work in a different city. But our "yard" has a shitload of birds, squirrels, and about a half dozen stray cats that chill on our porch because we feed them.

I was a baller too. My first car was a '97 Ford Escort that I bought for $300.

Light it on fire.
