Twistedshabazz
The thread slipped to the second page, what the fuck? I got Decibel's "100 Greatest Doom Albums" issue in the mail. So much to check out. I've got a lot of homework to do. I would like to see that list. Do they post it online?
stranaspank
I'm not sure. If I get ambitious I'll write it out tonight. The first six Sabbath albums all made the cut.

jab
Ive been beating up the ccmusic discount and just got in another order(my 5th)... part of it was Monolord....$18 and change. Was expecting the black version but got a blue second press, very nice looking. I think the 20% off code is still active... their shipping costs are such that you need to order 5+ records to really get a deal.

Twistedshabazz
i like that list, but i kind of wish they would have added some other artists, like thou among many others. i dont think they need to put 3 Electric Wizard and 6 Black Sabbath albums on there... also my Fogg LP came Today. looking forward to jamming it but the cover is kinda flimsy. Agreed. Sabbath should never even be on any of those lists because they take up 6 slots. Always. Because they fucking rule. Either that or they need to be like #1 - The First 6 Sabbath albums. Done, and done. Move on to the rest.
Twistedshabazz
yeah i feel the point is to pick 100 different artists to highlight them, not say hey remember black sabbath, all their albums with ozzy rule. i would rather them just say our number one is all the sabbath albums like you said. apparently no one consulted us from decibel on this matter. maybe next time. Haha, hopefully. (agreed.) And were are Monolord and Conan on that list?! Hey. I posted this in the solid mail day thread, but I thought you guys would appreciate it. The Well felt bad for me waiting so long for my badass shirt, so they sent me a signed poster, coozie and some stickers! Got the rest of my Pallbearer reliquary edition in, Windhand S/T from discogs and Alkaline Trio - S/T first pressing blue marble/500 from skadaddy on here! Stoked. lexicondevil
^ Nice haul. Just wanted to update that I finally got a non-cracked replacement Black Capricorn record from Armageddon. They took care of me and are off my shit list. Speaking of shit, I had some insane food poisoning over the last few days. Now, finally back to beer drinking normal. Glad you're back to normal on the bowel front. (I picked up that 1st press Witchcult Today...it's beautiful. I'll take a pic later.)
QUA1L
Top 100 lists (top anything lists) are always so subjective, I try not to take them for more than entertainment. Got my OM lp today along with a signed (by the band) screen print from Mastodon's last UK tour from my mate over there.

lexicondevil
Finally dove into the record room today and did some organizing. Spent a couple hours and still have at least another tomorrow to finish. My mind was blurring from thinking alphabetically and also my haphazard and inconsistent way of alphabetizing using first or last names. I have about 4 feet of records that are doubles or stuff I don't care about at the moment. Now I just have to make a list and price all that crap. I find the only stuff I am really caring about is my stoner/doom records. Well, also Bob Seger- Against the Wind. On another note, last year I noticed that all of my old AC/DC records were missing and now I can't find my Sabbath S/T? Frickin' weird and completely baffling. I listened to the Sabbath record a few months ago, so I know I should still have it and I would never get rid of it. Something strange is going on. The game is afoot? I must say the red doesn't look as interesting to me, as I was hoping it would. Looks like a plain red instead of the more marbled yellow. Or is it just the light? RustyShackelford
Solid (no marbling) opaque red is my favorite vinyl color. I'm so glad I snagged one.

Of all the records to go missing, Sabbath - S/T is one that I'd be reeeeeeeally upset about. That sucks! I need to do what you're doing and try to pare down my collection to more essential stuff that I'll listen to more regularly, but I have 3 (and a 4th incoming) abums I need to listen to now that they've arrived. Seems like I have very little time to revisit things lately. I think in part (mostly) that it's due to this thread, jerks! That said, once my Baroness - Blue gets here I won't have anything in the mail again! What's happeninggggggggg?! I actually hope this year is a little slow on new stuff for me so I can finish getting some older essentials.
