How do you fix a spindle hole that's too small?

Recommended Posts

what a knife! that's horrible. I use one of these. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Luthier-Tools-Tapered-Reamer-for-Bridge-Pins-Endpins-Pegholes-/131016339659?pt=Guitar_Accessories&hash=item1e812eb0cb

It's a luthier guitar reamer designed to make holes in wood. Not wishy washy holes either. Complete circles. I ream the spindle hole one whole spin on each side before popping it back onto the record. Works like a charm. I may post a video to show case it. I should mass produce this tool for vinyl junkies eh?

Ok off my high horse. Here's a photo showing how sharp the tool is and how I use it. You only stick it until where it's snug before giving it a twist. Even then don't jam it in obviously that will force too much of a cut. What you do to Side A you do to Side B until it slides on no problem.  At any rate at the end of the day whatever works best for you is what matters. ANdxtZr.jpg

That's a perfect tool for this.  A couple of bucks cheaper on Amazon, too.
