cwhitmuzik
Crap Ducktails - The Flower Lane -WTF is this!? Arcade Dynamics was such a chill album and now this? Come on! I LOVED this record, hahaha. most people didn't like it though. I just love its sense of poppiness throughout.
Greystash
I LOVED this record, hahaha. most people didn't like it though. I just love its sense of poppiness throughout. I have to admit that the songs sounded much better when I saw him in August. BUT it doesn't work for me on record. It just sounds awful imo. thebiglebowski
Kinda surprised people like that off with their heads record so much. They write the same song over and over. Fucking loved it up to "from the bottom" but find it boring now.
kurtz
Kinda surprised people like that off with their heads record so much. They write the same song over and over. Fucking loved it up to "from the bottom" but find it boring now. "In Desolation" was a big stinker and I was ready to write them off after that, but I felt like "Home" was a step back towards their earlier stuff. Everything up to "From The Bottom" is flawless. Those are some of my most listened to records over the past 5 or 6 years.

You know the more obscure something is the better it is! Fcuk lame stream big names like Atoms for Peace, Arcade Fire, Daft Punk....their shit is shit. Derek™
There are definitely obscure gems out there, but I'd say it's silly to think that obscurity is directly proportionate to quality. (Even though I suspect you were being a little sarcastic.) And continuing with said sarcasm, I've got to say that a lot of "big name" artists killed it, this year. stl_ben

No thought given to the bands position in the grand scheme of things, only their position in my heart. stl_ben

thebiglebowski
If we counted the number of bands I was familiar with in the lists posted, tim's would be near the top for me. That flavor of music used to be what 80% of people on here were into in the early days. It's slowly shifted more mainstream, especially in the SRC years.
