dapeebs
Illuminate is the perfect rainy day album. Is this the tour with Hrvrd? Yeah it is! Two amazing bands. Of course the closest concert to me is like two hours away.
P1ZZAPARTY
Has anyone made it out to a show on this tour yet? Looking to know if they have Devil (or anything else) on vinyl there so I can save on shipping. Thanks!
danionly
I'll be seeing them this Tuesday. I'll let you know, if no one else does first.
rooks
We definitely would have heard if there was Illuminate vinyl by now. Safe to say it hasn't been at any shows yet. They probably have Devil, they did last tour, and they still have it available.
jonnystorm777
I am going tonight! Really wish Illuminate was pressed and ready!
SmikeX13
My friend went last night and told me they would be pressing it. Unfortunately that's all I know, I'll see if he has any more info.

rickman
Devil was at the merch table! Also, it's available on their webstore again at 81twentythree
danionly
Saw them last night. They're all out of pillow cases, but the merch guy said they'd be selling them online.

dawhizz
Saw the show in St. Louis over the weekend. Lydai was great (although I would have appreciated more vocals). Why didn't anyone tell me how great HRVRD is? Had always been one of those bands I had heard of but never heard, but the mix of indie and space/prog-rock is squarely in my wheelhouse. Wonder how many younger fans realize how much the lead singer is aping Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull. It's uncanny (and not meant as a dig at all). Saw them live with A lot like birds. Check out there first full length the inevitable and I. One of my favorite albums. And never heard of him or the band. Are they good? Wow I'm a huge Hrvrd fan and never put this connection together but it's crazy!
dawhizz
Wow I'm a huge Hrvrd fan and never put this connection together but it's crazy! Yep. As an old-school prog rock fan, I have to say it warmed my heart to see a great singer bringing a bit of theatricality to the show. Reminded me a lot of Anderson, early Peter Gabriel, etc.
billya
I like HRVRD, but I will say that it kind of annoys me that both times I have seen them they've had to kill time on stage in the middle of a set because of technical problems. I don't begrudge them for that, but it does minimize how cool the experience is.
batman
Hrvrd was horrible... Lydia ruled. Wish they would've gotten a chick to cover Mindy's part though. Crowd was fantastic.

Mind reiterating why they were horrible? I've seen them for a total of 6 times and they just get better and better each time. eskimosnow27

I've seen them for a total of 6 times and they just get better and better each time. i was actually really excited about seeing them--i love 'the inevitable and i'. i think they played 1 old song... the singer was really weird--ducking and hiding, all the overdone sign language shit. then went on some rant about names that was just awkward. i guess they played their songs well or whatever (the song i actually knew sounded good), the wife and i just weren't into it at all. i was going to pick up the new album on vinyl if they had it, ended up not even looking at their merch. probably the worst i've seen since foxy shazam. it's all subjective though. Sugar Shane
I wish they would've played more of the inevitable and I but they were really good live. Jesse's voice is great and his stage antics are nuts.
RadDonut
To each his own I guess. I loved seeing Hrvrd. When I saw them they were the main band for that night so that might play a difference. I read an interview with Jesse once that he justs feels like shows can be so much more than just listening to live music but it can be a whole "cerebral" experience. danionly
I can't believe I fucking missed the pillow pre-sale for NYC. I am so upset. I'll buy one or two from anyone who wants to sell after they get it at the show. Pillowcases up now!! http://shop.81twentythree.com/collections/lydia
