The more you make, the higher percentage you can afford to contribute. I'll just make up some numbers for reference. Someone making $20,000 paying 15% now has $17,000. Someone making $1mil paying 35% would have $650000. $17000 is not an easy amount to live on a year. With $650000 you can still live extremely comfortably. I don't feel bad if someone has to drive a BMW instead of a Lambo.

The concentration of wealth at the top is not only disgusting but dangerous for society and the economy.

Trump's surge in support was from rural whites over 30. Ask any adult 40 miles outside of any city how big a factor fucking GAMERGATE figured into their decision without your face getting hot.

I'm so with you! On a Wire is my favorite and had to get the magical maroon... we're probably the only two that like it better than GS on here lol

Man....the On A Wire tour was fucking great.  Hot Rod Circuit, Superchunk, and then The Get Up Kids headlining.

Really? Guilt Show is a fantastic record and one of my favorite GUK albums.

Even though I've got all of these but guilt show, was still pretty tempted by that maroon On a Wire. I fucking love that album the way most of you seem to love Guilt Show, but could never really get into GS (still copped a coke bottle, because I'm an idiot).

Good god... so, given the amount of classic Vagrant records I love, I should just be expecting to throw away my money every weekend?

Edit : Not a gripe, just a realization that this is gonna be a long, hard road to follow.

Yeah, Separation is maybe a top 10 album for me. Heaven is Whenever is slightly better than its reputation. I barely remember anything about Teeth Dreams.

This has always been a normal thing at metal shows, though.  Hell, even the band members wear their own shirts on stage and in pictures. AFAIK it's not the same, or in fact, quite the opposite in other genres.

I've noticed this at more shows in the last three years than I have in 15 years of going to shows. It's stupid.

This.  I started doing business with Popmarket because I enjoyed the concept of the "daily deal" where there was an item(s) showcased that was truly a great deal, whether I personally would have purchased it or not.

In the last several months, it's turned into a spamfest of email where everything is a deal.

When *everything* is a deal, then *nothing* is a deal in some cases.  Honestly, I can't tell you in most instances because the emails are 1) too frequent and 2) click-bait-y and I tend to delete them right away when they are (yeah, the one the other day with Shaq and the cat "I can haz deal" or whatever comes to mind...no...just...NO).

Other than that, I will say that I've spent a LOT of money with PM.  There have been a few bumpy times along the way, but their returns/exchanges procedure is top notch when I've gotten damaged/defective vinyl.  You don't just get that anywhere and that alone has kept me spending money with PM.

My only other wish is for more discount codes.

Ian, I am not normally a griper, but since you're here and I'm unhappy I thought I would mention this.

I signed up for Popmarket's Daily Deals newsletter a few weeks ago.  Lately I am getting buried in an ever increasing pile of daily emails from you, many of which are not offering a deal or discount at all.  I see I received the following from Popmarket this week:

    10-24  4 emails
    10-25  3 emails
    10-26  3 emails
    10-27  3 emails
    10-28  3 emails
    10-29  3 emails

Then, to add insult to injury, you are starting to utilize a marketing strategy where I have to click through the email to visit a webpage to see the deal.   It's not polite to treat customers this way, and it is disingenuous as well because what you are accomplishing is having people like myself (1) as in the fable 'The Boy Who Cried Wolf', when you send so many emails it becomes simply a blur and I have had my time stolen too many times I simply ignore your mail completely ; and/or (2) block receiving any emails from popmarket entirely.

Honestly, the prices on the secondary market for them are not bad. I think I saw a blue copy and black-in-yellow sell for around $35 on eBay/Discogs in the past week.

Or just wait a few weeks until they announce yet another one...

Got my black / easter yellow this morning... Will be giving it a spin a bit later today.

Looks good, although the edit to the description on the Relapse site which states: *Appears Dark Yellow Inside of Easter Yellow* is definitely accurate. It's more of a light-black-grey-yellow-sludge colour, rather than dark black. Personally, I think it still looks fine, but it would have been even better had the black been more vibrant. Just my opinion though

That story of the band having to glue the jackets doesn't make any sense. I find it hard to believe. Imprint prints gatefold jackets for around $1500, why would they even think about doing that work themselves?

They just want to cash in. I have no problem with that, although personally I'm not going to buy an LP for $50 and I don't care if it sells out and start selling for more money. I can live without a record. From what I've read from their FB, they want the fans to pay extra for their merch because of their mistake of signing on a major label. Now, that's another of my reasons to not buy anything from them.

What you're saying is pretty hardcore/punk so I'll give you some props for that but it's not really helpful, relevant, or useful.  Popmarket is downsizing from a corporate-owned company but they aren't downsizing all the way down to one angry dude in a bad place in his life who uses his record business as a means to exert control in a world that feels chaotic, unsafe, and non-respecting of him. Ian can correct me but they have to, at the very least, pretend to want to participate in society in a meaningful way that is mutually beneficial with the people they interact with; and, for better or worse, that means responding to emails and canceling orders on occasion.

Thanks for your response, we hear you! We are currently working on some staffing challenges but have recently added some full time, dedicated customer service reps that will significantly expedite the response time for order inquiries.

As for the cancellation policy, that goes hand in hand with the customer service staffing, we aim to reply to all inquiries within 24 hours (before an order would ship), so will definitely be able to assist quicker there should you need to cancel.

Also, just to give some context behind the customer service issues - I am WELL aware of the issues and frankly a little embarrassed by some issues that we've heard from our customers, we really do value you shopping with us and are huge music nerds/fans like you guys as well, so we understand the importance of getting it right and hope you'll bear with us as we go through the growing pains of downsizing from a big corporation to a small, independent company.

Thanks again, and I'll make sure the Out of Time 3LP gets to you on street date (I pre-ordered one myself, can't wait for that, package looks amazing).

    Best
