Just saw this on Documentary Now and will probably be pre-ordering. That episode was hilarious. It is a pretty steep price though for essentially 6 half finished songs based on the track times. I was hoping they'd be more complete versions.

That could be it, I've never used anything but those components, which I know are far from ideal, but I've never noticed it before. I'll definitely upgrade what I can this coming holiday season. Until then I'll fiddle with the alignment and see if I can improve it any

My turntable is a basic Uturn Orbit. Im using a Pyle preamp, Lepai amp (both are temporary but have never caused problems before and sound fine if i play my phone through them), and sony speakers.

Ok,so I ended up getting a replacement and am having the same problem (sibilance/distortion) so it must be something wrong on my end. The tracking force is correct and the aligntment is right to the best of my knowledge. The cantilever is paralllel/even with the grid. What is the VTA?

Thank you! I did just realign it as it was slightly off and it has slightly approved. The way Amazon packaged it caused the stylus to become loose in the box so there's a possibility it could be damaged. I'll play a few more records and see if it's still a recurring problem then look at exchanging it.

I read something about needles needing a "break in" period when they're new. I recently replaced my Ortofon Omega needle and still noticed a fair amount of sibilance and distortion. Is that common or might it be an alignment issue?

All other sites besides their web-store still have the original 11/27 release date as when it will ship. Will places like Amazon or local shops be getting this by the Oct 13 release date as well?

Yeah, I've asked a few people who I saw got it on instagram and they said their store had it. I called mine but they said they didn't have it. I forgot to ask whether they got some and sold out or just hadn't gotten any yet though.

I was considering spending a little more and upgrading the whole cart (no more than $60) but I feel like I might upgrade my table to a Pro-ject within the next year or so which would make a more expensive cart make less sense to buy now. I'll definitely look into the AT95E though. I have a record store in the area that should be able to align a new one, but their carts are quite a bit more expensive than Amazon based on what I looked at last time.

It came with the basic U-Turn but lately I've noticed more and more distortion in the high end, like 's' sounds, so I think it's time to replace the needle. They don't sell replacement needles for that cartridge so I was wondering if this stylus (http://www.amazon.com/Ortofon-Pro-S-Replacement-Stylus/dp/B000ML4KT4/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1437855056&sr=8-5&keywords=ortofon+cartridge) would be compatible with the grey cartridge above?

Yeah, at least it was a nice inner sleeve. I wish they included an insert with more photos of them or something as well. And at the very least they could've thrown in a download code or something, it should be pretty much a given by now to include one. *I also emailed their store and they said they can't assist unless I bought it from their store so it'd be much appreciated if someone knows a not-so-shady site to download it from or could shoot me an email with them attached.

Looking forward to getting this on vinyl. The album has really grown on me after the first listen. Are the pressing plants just that backed up that it takes 4 months for it to get pressed or did they just recently send it in to get pressed? Hopefully BFRSD does't push it back further
