I've been waiting way too long for an Under The Influence Of Giants pressing on yellow or blue vinyl

I think the difference between limited and normal is the elitism that you spent money on a record you like before anyone else did. 

They replied to me on twitter saying they should have it for sale, but it would probably take a few days to get the listing up. 

I'm in the same boat. I've only played it a few times since it came out and I just realized that. Up until now it was one of the releases I was most excited for. I don't think Battle Born was a misstep either, I absolutely loved that album.

Yeah, this is the first Killers album ever I haven't been magnetically drawn back to listen to over and over again after my initial listen-through. Bummer to realize that. 

Vaults are shipping. Can't wait.
 

What does everyone think of this one? She channels a bit of Kesha on this one, which I can dig, but the chorus is a little dry. 

Exactly.  Just because two members are opting to remain involved in the songwriting/studio recording process only and not tour doesn't mean the band is on its last legs.  It just means two members are prioritizing their time/personal lives in a different way than the other two members.  And who knows, it could be a season for them and in several years they may rejoin the touring side of things.  

I mean has anyone heard of the Beach Boys...once Brian Wilson stopped touring and only made studio recordings they only made a crappy record like Pet Sounds...

Someone on Reddit cracked the code and Brand New are buying all of us houses on 11/6.

Welp. I think I enjoyed the song a lil' bit more and didn't hate it as much after watching the video...the video was cheeky in her self-deprecation.

I don't understand the soft complaints. The Gold, The Moth, Lead, SD, The Grocery, The Wolf, and especially The Silence are pretty huge sounding rock songs. Yeah, they are much more dynamic than COPE so they have quieter parts, but that makes the "heavy" parts hold even more weight.

So far, all I can discern is talk of thermo nuclear war regarding Ondo, Nigeria, Professor Falken, Joshua, Tic tac toe...it's all a reference to War Games from the 80s. Not sure the relevance yet...
End of the World Edition... except there is no WW3 in War games.
This is starting to become some Brand New level shit.

I read somewhere else that it's like a fire extinguisher because it's a good record to have on hand, but you hope you never need it. I agree with that. 

Rest of the album really opens up and gets cheery though.

I'm in Norcal and got mine this weekend. I ordered whenever my first post is in this thread. Haven't had a chance to spin it.
