Ugh. I really don't think I'd like any of the Misfits if I had to hang out with them for a while. Doyle might be entertaining, but he does seem like a big meathead.
 

I always find it amusing when labels get all pissy about returns or dealing with customer service. If you don't want to deal with returns or customer service in general, don't run a label or distro. Is it worth it to lose a customer over a $5 CD? As someone who's sold records for 10 years now the answer is absolutely not, I don't care how busy you are.  If you run your business the right way you should have minimal returns.

Just won a test press of Texas Is The Reason - S/T 7”. Really fucking stoked on that as only 5 are going out into the wild. I think I had something like a 3% chance of winning (guessing from the sales). Now I need to find their LP on white.

However, my OG OK Computer was a pretty solid package with thick heavyweight vinyl.

It's so sad that a certain group in the US has been working so hard to destroy the postal service. This really screws over small businesses and consumers.

I don't care how well I know someone as either the buyer or the seller, I want that PayPal protection.  If I'm a seller I'll work it into the price, if I'm a buyer and they ask I'll ignore the request and send them an extra couple of bucks to cover the fee, fuck that.

If something gets lost or damaged in the mail it's a huge pain in the ass without PayPal protection, as either the buyer or the seller.  If someone is insisting on F&F it's hugely suspect.

Might seem silly but I was totally into this before the preorder dropped and after seeing how the band and Smartpunk responded to everything, their attitude toward their fans, not being transparent and changing things up after the fact...it didn't sit well with me. So I canceled my preorder, and I feel great about that decision.

You are correct about the cease and desist letters. 
In general, in this day and age, video game boots tend to be labors of love by genuine fans, and great care is taken with not only the audio but the visual package and extras, stickers, prints. I have very rarely been disappointed, most often I'm floored by the presentation, and if the sound is bad it's usually a lathe cut. 
That said, this Tony Hawk boot doesn't seem to have the same love and care. Seems hastily made, and it somehow looks like it will sound bad. I still want it though.

What do you really expect? There are several longtime posters that are nothing but abusive to anyone they disagree with. Nothing happens to them because they're buddy-buddy with the mods.
