FedEx dropped my PS5 off last night but I couldn’t set it up until today. Transferring about 360 gigs of games/data from my ps4 took about 3 hours over the local network. I ended up ordering a USB 3 hub and a 2TB external hard drive on Amazon for extra storage, though.  
 
And Astro’s Playroom is so damn fun and it’s an amazing love letter to those who have been PlayStation fans since the very beginning. 
 
 

Best Buy came through with the order pick-up. Just ran through Astro's Playroom, very fun and easy Platinum if you're into that stuff. I'm about to start Miles Morales, gonna pick up the new COD tomorrow as well. 
 
The PlayStation Plus collection is also gonna keep me busy for a while.

How's everyone doing so far? Hopefully getting some adjustment to this new normal and stressing out over the elections. 
 
We voted early this past week here in FL. Was pretty smooth. We got to the voting location at 7am on the dot and were home by 8:30am or so. 
 
At work, we were initially expecting to head back into the offices by beginning of January. We just got word that it's been pushed back further out to potentially March/April next year. In a way I'm kinda relieved as it may mean not going back to my previous position anytime soon. But I'm also a bit over working from home and being around my family still 24/7. At least my brother has been able to get his old job back so he's working again...part-time but still a job. 
 
And of course I've been buying way too much shit I don't need. Too many records coming in that I'm finding not much time to listen to.

I don't know what people expect from Warped tour, especially moving forward. The festival was intended for teens and young adults, so that demographic should dictate who plays. I feel like most of the people who complained about the tour were older people who weren't gonna go anyways. Anybody who wanted the tour to "stuck to its roots" and only book punk, ska-punk and pop punk were clearly out of touch as to what this festival had to do to survive, which was cater to the new youth and their music tastes. I was in high school in the early 2010s, and all the "counter-culture" kids were listening to shit like Pierce the Veil, Sleeping with Sirens, Asking Alexandria, etc. as well as shit like Brokencyde and Breathe Carolina and that's who Warped was booking in the early 2010s. There was always a counter-culture aesthetic to the artist who played the tour, and in 2020 I'm not really sure what youth counter-culture is. 100 gecs? Poppy? I have no idea, I feel like most teens are listening to Travis Scott and Billie Eilish, who both have a grittier less pop aesthetic as is, yet they're both pop artists. Counter-culture went mainstream ironically, and that was the axe for Warped tour. What were they to do, do  they cater to the former 90s and 2000s demographic who's now older and want their nostalgia, or do you continue to be the festival for the youth, like its initial intentions?  I think we should just let Warped tour rest in peace and enjoy the times we had with it, whether it was in the 90s, 2000s, or 2010s.

I agree but it is a case by case basis. In this case it's stupid. 

They are extremely fickle sometimes.  I'd had obscure releases or listings go without album art for months – to the point where I get sick of seeing the grey placeholder and just upload the album art – and it'll immediately get removed because it's not an "actual photo" of the record.  Fuck off with that.

Microsoft with the big brain announcing they've acquired ZeniMax Media a day before Xbox pre-orders go up. I'm curious to see what the future holds in these regards, especially for all of Bethesda and ID Software's franchises.

I vividly remember being broke working my pizza delivery job and managed to make just enough in tips during my shift to buy it. I rushed to the bank and put just enough in my account and ordered it leaving me with a couple cents to my name.

I picked it up this morning, I'm loving it so far, this is the first time I'm playing Tony Hawk on console so I'm just getting the hang of it, but it looks awesome. Great remaster.
