Personally, I enjoy the new album. You can't expect too much with 40 year old dudes playing the music you listened to when you were 15. Sure, it's not as good as their old stuff, but I'm just glad they continue to put out new music.

I enjoy Crash Love. I look at as a departure from Sing the Sorrow, but I liked the change. For me the new record has a few songs I can't get into, but I still enjoy the attempt for a different sound.

Got my yellow/orange whatever color it is in the mail today, listening to it now.  As has been the case with the last few AFI albums, it's growing on me!  I probably listened to the leak 2-3 times and just wasn't super impressed. But I'm digging it now.  As others have said if you're still listening to AFI you have to expect each album to be different than the last.  And I'm totally fine with that! I enjoy their progression.
 
If we're picking favorites, I'll take Black Sails any day.  But I'll listen to Crash Love from time to time...

I'm with you on Crash Love. Then again, I seem to like a lot of albums that people say are a bands "worst".

There was shady stuff going down on both sides to discredit the other candidates. The left would start fights at Trump rallies to make them look bad, as well as the whole media out to make Trump look bad and Russia leaked e-mails showing Hillary's true colors. But the votes were legit and not tampered with.  Hillary lost because she was a terrible person/candidate. 

I remember Hillary saying that the leaked e-mails wont change anyone's vote. America has made up their mind already.  Then after she lost, the Dems all cry about the leaked e-mails. It's rather funny and pathetic. 

and that's the reason Hillary lead 99 to 1 in the poll projections on 11/7

i support the email phishing attempts of john podesta's gmail account. he was pegged to be hillary's sec of state if she won. there is way too little transparency in politics. people like john podesta, hillary clinton, and others (on all sides of the political spectrum) used private and personal email servers to avoid transparency, operate in secrecy from other governmental bodies, and get out of FOIA requests from the american people.

haha. we'll see. the democrats suffered a net loss of 1,042 state and federal democratic posts, including congressional and state legislative seats, governorships and the presidency. all during the past 8 years. let's see when or if that changes.

like every superpower ever since the dawn of civilization? who's allowed to meddle with other countries and who isn't? and what degree of "meddling" done by a country is worthy of considering them a major threat to your well-being?
 
i for one, think that the covert CIA operations carried out under the obama administration (in which seven different countries were routinely drone bombed) is a tad more destructive than allegedly phishing john podesta's gmail password.

If anyone is looking for cheap 7" storage to hold a small collection, AC Moore/Michaels sell these wooden boxes for 5x7 photos. They're usually ~$15 or even less on promotion. Just toss the lid and paint the box whatever color you want. I would recommend the AC Moore version as the Michaels version is a bit snug. Also, the AC Moore version can hold 10" records on the long side.

Jurassic 5 - Feedback

IKEA is having a winter sale until January 10th, and a bunch of items are on sale.
Interestingly the 2x2 Kallax (black, birch and white ones) are on sale for $20 - and with $10 shipping in the US, these shelves only come to $30 shipped.

I took advantage of all the Hastings going out of business and scored these racks for $100. If you've got the room I highly recommend pillaging a Hastings for some. The drawers each have two rows. The bottom ones weirdly aren't tall enough for LPs (they're like a half inch too short), but they fit three rows of 7"s pretty perfectly. Very stoked on this shit...

I feel like I've already been beaten to death by this topic. 

Never had issues before. Cost me $5 for media mail. Took me 45 minutes to get their site to complete checkout though.
 
Only 6 variants so far. That's tame considering past albums.
