I had the exact same reaction the other day, yawned all the way through the album on the commute home. Saw the praise and decided to check it out and just ended up checking out lol

Got the 4th press of Aurora the other day, I love the spot gloss on the cover. I wanted to pick up Hush too but I’ll probably pick that up at their show on this tour

Good looking out, I think I grabbed the last one!

I just saw them on Monday and Keith was the happiest I’ve ever seen. Between all the songs he only spoke about how much love they’ve been receiving, how that first day in Orlando was the best show of the tour so far, etc. He was on point during the whole show and the band was super tight.  I hope he stays in because to me, his lyrics and wordplay set the band apart from many others. 
 
ps: I didn’t buy a record or a tee because $30 was too high for me, now I wish I did lol

Ok so we know Equal Vision is finally starting to listen when people clamor for much needed represses, now they need to use that momentum and announce a vinyl version of A Little Less Teeth EP and of course Self Titled

I feel like I’m in the minority in that I like the indie the most, I’ll just go to my local store and get that there

Yeah the rigidity is something that people complain about but I don’t mind one bit. But I know they’re capable of being more fluid, too. I caught a show of theirs in 2011 or so where Mike had an issue with his guitar and so he’d walk over to the PA booth. This happened during the drum intro to Harper Lewis so Dave just kept playing over and over and adding little changes here and there. Once everything was fixed they picked up where they left off and it was almost seamless. 

Yes dude, I caught a Marriages and Russian Circles show in like 2013 where Dave from RC played drums for both bands, it was so cool and a great show. I regularly wear my Marriages tee. 

I don’t think this band has a bad record but I personally think memorial is their weakest, so many of the songs sound alike. Both deficit and 1777 have that similar sounding bridge in the middle

Appreciate the info, I’d been meaning to pick up a few more releases since I only have ASWDE and the prices were an issue back in the day.  Glad to hear things have gotten better. 

Just checked mine, it sure swayed a lot back and forth as well. I haven’t sat down to listen to it just yet but I hope it’s not too bad. I know the label had a ton of trouble with this pressing too

I have some vivid memories of their singer spitting through the set. Spitting on the stage, into the air, onto his shirt, onto the ceiling of the venue, but thankfully not into the crowd. I can stand being a 100% sweat man during crazy pits and bumping into others for like 3 hours but I can’t deal with spit lol, I stood off to the side for that show. They were also selling two tees for $15 which I still have. A week later I saw Russian Circles in the same city and it was cool to see Brian twice.

Excited for this, every release has been so good.  I listened to their Mogwai cover again yesterday for the first time in a long while and was reminded how great it was they knocked out it off the park. Can’t wait to hear what sick drumming Dan Tracy will lay down!
