I mayyyybe will pick up the Fragile vinyl definitive... but after listening to a copy of the Deviations download, not sure I need to have this on vinyl. My recollection is that even if the digital/hd versions are LOUDASSfk the vinyl version won't be... this seems to apply to any NIN release.

I want to be the analogue douche with Point #1. "Yeah it was recorded all analogue by Steve Albini"... "yes i'm so cool" & i'm excite for this, the mastering of the CD is likely robbing dynamic... blah blah what a douche why do you care so much about audio quality...

I was looking at buying this variant as my sole copy. I read on amazon that the standard pressing has playback problems (skipping). One review on UO says it skips, assuming they have the black copy. I'm thinking since this is a repress, the error could be fixed. If not free returns yo!

Don't know if anyone cares but both of Big Wreck's Atlantic Records albums are released in 24-bit 192khz. I had a friend buy the Pleasure and the Greed for me because it's like only Canada/Japan/France released via 7digital. Considering buying In Loving Memory of... but have to find a Japanese friend.

Why the fyuck isn't Def Jam pressing this officially? Just remaster that bitch and watch the dough roll in. The plot thickens- see below....

The audiophile in me loves the two discs... I even bought two copies. But it's a 42 minute album. Put a bonus track on there or something. Every outtake and live song is awesome from this era (Weeds, Keli Richards, It's Not Too Much....)

I like this band a lot, but come on... And I want a 24/96 wav of the master used for the FP vinyl, not the live album.

This is right up there with Glassjaw's Coloring Book for too limited for its own good. Is there word of a wide release for this?

There's a version of Coloring Book being passed around on reddit that sounds boss btw. It appears to be made from the original posting, the one that had actual dynamic range (like 10db instead of the 7db of subsequent releases). If anyone doesn't wanna find it, hit me up.

Sourced from the original mix reels and cut by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio. Kevin Gray is super busy these days. But seriously... very happy for this level of transparency. Bought from the label's site, on principal.

If you care about sound quality over anything else.... the vinyl box set is made from commercially available digital files. Yes, in this rare instance you can buy the 24bit / 192khz (or 24bit/44.1khz) lossless files that are the source for the records. I really wish this was more common, so if you miss out on a limited pressing, get a crap pressing, etc. Or are like me and just want the best sound possible...

How about you sell me any color of Happiness....
