  1. i almost signed up for a trial until they wanted my cc/paypal info up front. then i sent them a note- I'm curious to know if Tidal has albums not mastered as loudly as their CD counterparts. I'm highly interested in high-fidelity copies of modern albums (esp. Def Jam/GOOD music) with true-to-studio sound... like one might find on a vinyl record or quietly mastered cd or live performance. Also consider 24-bit downloads. I'm most interested in Kanye West, Frank Ocean, John Legend and Pusha T's music seeing a proper audiophile release.
  2. That's about what the pressing goes for. Kills me. I've been trying to buy a copy for over two years..... So glad to hear someone else wants this. Easily my favorite work by the band.
  3. oh that's just being funny, i'll give yo $20 bucks for yours. i know i know, i'm being generous.
  4. Shhhh quiet, i'm trying to unload that load of crap. I do like MoFi sleeves though, they are dope.
  5. Brand New - Daisy (digitally recorded don't mean ***, well mastered and mixed does) Rx Bandits - Gemini The Catherine Wheel - Ferment Dead Prez - Let's Get Free Failure - Fantastic Planet Cake - Prolonging the Magic Finch - Say Hello to Sunshine ... about any post-millennial album really.
  6. There's plenty of quiet passages on the album too, it'll fit. It's primarily mastering that makes a record sound great.
  7. Careful, they could make it from the 2002 remaster (which is loud as shit/peak limited and generally inferior to the 1992/93 CDs). Also, eat a dick A&M. "This has been remastered at 24-bit 96khz from them master tapes" THEN FUCKED WITH TO BE LOUD AND DYNAMIC-LESS. I love the Gin Blossoms... but how you gonna call yourselves the Gin Blossoms when you fired your alcoholic principal songwriter (who committed suicide thereafter) and then fire your alcoholic drummer and release a mediocre album?
  8. I finally picked up Ornette Coleman's Science Fiction which is just divine. I neglected picking up a copy for years... then saw January 2015 repress. By ORG Music...ha of course it's them. Bernie Grundaman mastering and all that (yes it sounds flawless... unless you don't like the freer side of jazz...). Apparently it's limited and all that too.. but it's just really cool that I could buy a repress.
  9. Kanye West doesn't care about vinyl people. So is Fantasy still only available in 3x10" with a dynamic-less master? FWIW- the Runaway DVD has awesome sound (like pre-brickwalled to shit mastering). Plus he says "what the fuck do I know" in the title song instead of "what the hell to I know".
  10. They dicks. Have had 2 Frank boots plus 2 Kanye boots. Quit slacking Def Jam. On the real...if an album is only released with a dynamic compressed master...where is my incentive not to pirate it? I refuse to pay for that nonsense.
  11. You do. It sounds incredible. I had it for a while then recorded it in HD audio and sold it. hit me up if you want the FLAC.
  12. Thank you for doing this release justice, even bought a copy for a friend. I had high expectations with my great copy of RxBandits' Progress. Speaking of which.. I know they'd be pissed... but is there any way that ...And the Battle Begun could get a pressing? It's always over $120 nowadays. Whomever your audio guy is, my compliments :-) Unless someone has one for sale to me I'll even just pay you a rental fee, just like to hear it. Other ETR wishlist items: dredg - catch without arms local h - as good as dead (& pack up the cats) chevelle - point #1 (a Steve Albini creation with no LP release?! ) Finch - What it is to Burn... (the band would like one... w/demo of title track & new version, and not shit audio like the USM release) Gin Blossoms - New Miserable Experience (label has 24/96 capture of the tapes for a 2002 anniv release, then subsequently ruined it w/loud mastering ) Oh and anything by Nothingface from 1998 onwards.
  13. Interesting... I have a FLAC of the skunk release... which blows my 2011 pressing out of the water for dynamics... would really like to hear a better copy with all the skunk tracks/versions that were removed for the wide release.
  14. I was hoping it was Rx Bandit's ...And the Battle Begun because I'm obsessed with that album at the moment. *edit... i researched... it was only pressed on maroon 2x 10" for a run of 1500.
  15. Plain is so inconsistent.... I have Fiona Apple's Extroadinary Machine and two Elliot Smith albums which are just spectacular.... then there's Mr. Bungle's California that I swear must've been dubbed from an old cassette tape. I also had the s/t Mr Bungle but returned it cuz it was pulled off the press too quickly and had 'hairs' of vinyl going over the grooves (some not removable).
  16. Just stopped in to say someone upped the 10,000 days boot in flac on the Pirate Bay and it sounds way better than I would have guessed. I want to know how these are really sourced. I mean if there's some magic audio butter I can do... I want.
  17. Bought Golden Age sealed at a ridiculous price. Owned for a year or so. Recorded in FLAC. Sold for a more ridiculous price. WIN. Same w/SV Smells Like Children & Portrait. Still kept SV Antichrist... the red repress was awful by comparison.
  18. Someone wake the fuck up and record the audio. I want to hear the vinyl mix/master. Fuck. $40. All you have to do is plug in your mac or pc and click record. I'll take care of the rest.
  19. Open offer to anyone who owns this and has a pc/mac with audio input--- will pay for recording... Will show you how to do it... $20 via paypal. Or a free record in the mail. Whatever, want to hear.
