I'm not into cassettes now, but when I was a youth, it was the only option.  I used to rock a Sony Sports walkman.  It was a fine piece of machinery that held up nicely.  In 1992, I lost it in a halfpipe while snowboarding.  I dug it out of the snow and, even after being run over with the edge of my snowboard, it still worked perfectly.  It's rotting is some landfill now.

If it sounds the same as the CD then maybe it's a flat recording, not an issue with the pressing.

What kind of phono preamp and stereo are you going to use?  There's no point in dropping $2k on a table to plug it into garbage.

I've never heard of this band, but I found the album title interesting.  The music is alright but they look like jerkoffs. 

Based on the pictures I see on Google, there's no way to set the tracking force on that turntable.  Personally, I wouldn't trust a record player that you can set the tracking force on to not destroy your records.

I was listening to Appleseed Cast a few days ago and I'd be lying if I said that this Kickstarter didn't ruin the experience.

I waited for 24 hours for SSD to refund my money after I responded to them to do so.  When they didn't, I opened a Paypal claim.  It was returned within an hour or two.  They should just refund people's money.

I'm actually surprised that there's going to be unlimited pressings of any Kozelek material on vinyl. Seems so weird.

I don't get these cunts at 4AD.  Do they hate money?  Why not make it limited to 5,000 mail-order only and it would still have sold out in one day.  

If you knew anything, you wouldn't be asking for help with hi-fi on the Vinyl Collective.  Don't be a jerk off to me because I tried to help you.  Those settings affect the equalization of the phono preamp.  You may be able to tweak it to de-empathize those frequencies.  But fuck it, you know everything.
