  1. let's all pray that a She and Him/You+Me co-headlining tour is already in the works.
  2. i wonder what the Heat Fetish pressing number will be, it looks like maybe Found in the Flood was a little too large, given that it's still in the store, and the 1st pass the flask pressing sold out in a few days
  3. lol i'm from North Carolina and there are a lot of fucking hillbillies, but hillbilly or not i can't imagine a crowd of drunken raleigh kids at a music festival keeping the volume at an appropriate level for old man mark. i can't stand it when the audience talks through the quiet parts either but shit man you're at a music festival. if jeff "guys i need some emotional mid song support so i can finish this song without the ghost of anne frank casting silence on me" mangum can make a run on the festival circuit while keeping this stuff to a minimum you'd think mark could too. can't say i can fault him for it, when people from carolina see an acoustic guitar they immediately think "wagon wheel," who knows what kind of crowd he had.
  4. lol you're talking about common knowledge and then you say "they're doing it for the cash, see?" you mean like everything ever? if i'm lashing out it's more because of stuff like this: GUYS LOOK AT ME I DO DRUGS who says shit like this. you're also a fucking idiot if you think blow is objectively better than crack/meth. "yeah man, alcohol is cool, but you ever trying D M fucking T?" unless you know people are hooked up with cartel distributors and dropping big cash on rocks fit for geological study you probably just did some decent chowder in an ocean of terrible shit and have barely done the others if at all. and only THEN would preference really begin to factor into it and you could subjectively say you prefer doing blow. everybody i've ever known has agreed it is almost impossible to go back to doing blow after you try crystal or crack purely in regards to cost/effect, and honestly crack really isn't any less haggard than coke bc every aspect of coke is absolutely disgusting, from making it to do doing it to your septum disappearing. and it's harder than ever to get good blow right now, which just emphasizes you're not only paying more for a weaker affect but you also risk fucking yourself over if you're not getting it from someone you are 100% sure is legit. even if you have money to burn its hard to justify, and it's the kind of thing that anybody with some experience in their belt would be skeptical about somebody saying, much less someone who's making their 7th post on a message board. if you've only done them a couple times as isolated events, you really haven't even "done" them considering both drugs are really mean to be used for binging, and although a coke habit usually begins as a weekend warrior type thing it eventually moves towards binging for any really passionate user (addict) obviously i don't know the intimacies of your life but you sound pretty certain of your opinion despite seeming like you know jack shit. i more or less only smoke weed these days, but you have no idea what you are talking about. and that is pretty obvious from the little you've typed. it's pretty likely that you're not a "weird" person who's difficult to understand outside of meeting you in person you're just another stupid American who wants to feel special instead of outwardly dumb and does by spewing off their opinion blindly and self-identifying through what "drugs" you do. no hostilities on my end, though, just making an observation with pretty much no basis. don't take it personally lol. edit: maybe you're not American because it seems like English might be your second language but yeah i retain my point and will post no more on this silliness.
  5. no offense, but people have been echoing your opinion on Yip for months, basically anybody who likes the bands' earlier heavier material. you're spewing the exact same concerns everyone did when the single for this was released and when Floral Green came out but you're saying it in a much more stupid fashion. everyone 'gets' what you're saying but not only is it unoriginal and already well echoed you aren't saying it very well. a much better comment would've been "i have an early copy of this album and it is all clean as expected. damn will yip, at least it's better than floral green" or something like that, you are just saying the same shit everyone else has already thought, it's not like this is the first band to ever change its sound to something lackluster and we can't "handle it" lol, you're just beating a dead horse especially when you probably haven't even heard the album which makes your need to feel validated for your intensely stock opinion(i.e. you're still posting about it and thinking other's don't get you) just kind of sad.
  6. idk i'm skeptical of some of the super high discogs sales, it may very well have sold for that but that's pretty insane considering the white w/ starburst that was just on ebay sold for like $45 max i think. discogs used to have awesome prices but now its so full of people posting ridiculously priced shit just in the hopes that someone ill informed buys it that it can be hard to go on it. i regret not snagging some of the ridiculous deals i saw on there in the past and thought "i can find this for a better price eventually" because now it is a legitimate miracle when you get something on discogs for a great price.
  7. really? when i do the magic trick i get 194 i'd probably cave and buy one if there were only 11 left....
  8. i actually got this a couple days ago, the /400 came out to more of a straight up swirl it seems to me, looks great and another excellent topshelf release.
  9. was hoping this would get pressed since dead day was pressed, pretty stoked to be able to get this even though it will make for an inconvenient listen.
  10. Sorry to post for something that just came out but I'm going to put my bid in to look for this album now, it rules and I'm bummed I missed the /500 version, if anybody has this and would be into trying to work something out for it shoot me a PM, preferably for money but I could also try to work out a record exchange, I don't have a trade list but I do have a lot of records and have some users here who can vouch for me. Thanks for reading!
  11. can i just post my cc info online instead? used to like this band, not so much anymore, figured i might as well go out on a limb that it'll grow on me.
  12. i bought the /100 even though i think both songs released so far blow and i don't think i even like this band anymore. i will probably regret this overall but hopefully I can make it up to myself a bit and sell the really stupid T shirt.
  13. yeah he's only gotten worse over the years and this article was full of a cringeworthy misunderstanding of an amazing song. just because bemis realized he himself was a contrived rebel poser doesn't mean nirvana was, juxtaposing the two artists really makes you think about the "better to burn out...." quote, I wouldn't often say that but Bemis and Weezer are two of the exceptions as far as legacies go.
  14. Thanks for the recommendation! I'll definitely have to make a trip to try that Bissell Bros, I should be in Maine at least once more before it initiates Arctic Tundra weather mode so I'll have to hit it up then. Would've loved to try the Dinner, I'm sure it's fantastic, their beers seem to have a really great balance. I was blown away when I first tried their Mo, Weez etc. awhile back and am definitely a fan of pretty much everything they've put out, the Lunch was probably my favorite though. I'm from Maine but don't get back as much as I'd like to, I moved when I was pretty young so its nice to taste the flavors of my birth state. I've always been pretty disappointed by Shipyard, and Gritty's to a lesser extent although I like to eat there every now and again for the experience. I was in Bangor for a couple days too and had heard good things about the Geeghan brothers, but wasn't able to make the trip over!
  15. Sadly no Dinner! I think they only brew that for July 31st and have a limit of 2 cases per customer. I missed it this year by 2 days and was pretty heartbroken, will definitely be making the trip next year. They had everything that they bottle regularly now, no special beers, although the Tiny Beautiful Something I'm pretty sure was a special brew pale ale that started getting distributed recently. Although I've found that in Boston, whereas I've never found Lunch or Another One IPA out of state, and this trip I couldn't even find them in state expect in Freeport. It was awesome to have Mean Old Tom on tap! On another Maine related brewing note, I had some of Sebago Brewing Company's Hop Swap on a whim and was really impressed. I'm not sure the specifics on that beer, but I'd definitely recommend it.
  16. finally made a trip to Maine Beer Company and enjoyed their stuff on draft, surprisingly lived up to my expected hype
  17. i have considerable faith in this band. wasn't even a big fan of hiding but this record will still probably rule. won't top the first two because they are masterpieces of the genre IMO, but should at least be sweet. can't imagine these guys putting out something that just blows.
  18. sweet, i'd buy all three of these, i know they did a sort of semi "deluxe" edition of Fortress awhile back because one of my buddies has it, clear w/ green mist 180g that is really nice. hopefully we get a gist of the date soon
  19. eric, I went to NYU, I'm not going to bog down the undeniable focus of this thread with observations from my very recent days in college, but if you have any questions you are welcome to PM me.
