hippielauryn
I have a merged collection with my significant other. If we ever break up, highly unlikely, I'm doomed.

Bladewillisisdead
My ex started collecting records because of me. She kept the stereo setup and some of my Talking Heads records. So yeah, be warned.
WAXXX
if you are with someone who listens to the same music, you only need one record collection. and it's half the cost. hippielauryn

Guest
Definitely never merge collections. We buy each other records a lot but once the gift is given, ownership is handed over. I would never try to take back any records I bought him! (He has a kallax for his and mine are on a shitty little shelf thing - still kind of bitter about that one though haha)

deafening
Dude and I's records are mixed together on the shelf. Zero confusion about who owns what, and spinning is free game. He only has a handful, though. It would be stupid silly making him put his on a separate shelf.
abovetheearth
my wife and I have the total opposite taste on the music spectrum. i used to make her mixed CDs, then we got cars with AUX ports. i used to make her playlists but then she didnt drive as much. she never plays music unless we're in the car. ive never noticed how weird this is until now. tomorrow im taking her to a show promoting some local music. its going to be VERY loud. bless her heart though, she had her little outfit picked out and laying on the couch before she left for work.
