koljou
That new track is great, I think this band is great, the concept is great, Merge is great, I'll be sure to preorder this.
Shelby
And this song, which, shamefully, has barely 1,500 views on Youtube....sigh. Seriously so fucking underrated.
stillalivetui
About time. What happened to those people that preordered this like two years ago?
Shelby
About time. What happened to those people that preordered this like two years ago? They're probably about to get the new Titus Andronicus album in the mail come July.

kyacrash
Local Business lyrics and themes could break your heart if you paid enough attention. Problem is everyone just wanted The Monitor 2. Local Business is a damn good rock-and-roll album. I'm one of those people. I still enjoyed it though. Just ordered this one, hoping again
gutzonborglum
I really enjoyed Local Business. I actually find myself throwing that on rather than The Monitor because it is just a damn good rock record, whereas I need to be in a mood and be able to fully engage in The Monitor. Regardless, I'll be picking this up. Can't come soon enough.
Parker
I like the album a lot, but some of you guys are being way too kind to Local Business and this whole "you should pay closer attention to it," and "you only didn't like it because it wasn't the Monitor II" nonsense reeks of condescension. kylekrische, Moglog and kjkenney

koljou
I want to preorder this now, but it seems like a really early preorder. 3 months seems excessive?
Parker
And blind hate reeks of ignorance. Who's blindly hating it? I said I liked the album and the person who kicked off this particular thread of conversation said they thought the new song was better than anything on Local Business. That's not hate, it's an opinion.

rabbitvinyl
Joining in throughout are pianist Elio DeLuca and violinist Owen Pallett Fuck yes! This is great news. At 130 minutes long, it should be one hell of an album! This pre-order seems excessively early, though.
kylekrische
They got too punk for their own good on Local Business for me. I'll wait to hear everything before I buy
suchashorttime
Had no idea there were two so divided Titus camps. Wild. Imo Stickles gets smarter and more intentional lyrically with way release. Musically, Local Business had more subtlety I appreciated. Whatever dudes.
Eliminator Jr.
To me 'Local Business' was the right step away from the epic monstrosity that is 'The Monitor'. I always appreciated it as a sort of little brother to The Replacements' 'Let It Be'. It has those deeply moving songs next to super stupid freak-out stuff. Balanced really well. Reading through the track list I feel like the new one's going to be a blown out continuation of it. Like one part Monitor, two parts Local Business. Eliminator Jr.
To anyone arguing that his talents lay in his beard, it's back! Also take a look at this amazing article/interview over at grantland.com: http://grantland.com/hollywood-prospectus/titanic-titus-andronicus-patrick-stickles-on-why-his-band-made-a-93-minute-29-track-rock-opera-about-manic-depression/

Burkazoid
Can't wait for this. The Monitor is easily one of my favourite albums of all time. I really liked Local Business as well, though it took a while for me to fully appreciate it. The production on it is pretty horrible though. Will definitely be buying this. I'm always skeptical with double albums but also have a firm belief that +@ can pull it off.
museummouth
I like this track better than everything on Local Business. Excited to hear more! Same. Loved The Monitor, probably one of the top 50 albums of all time for me. Local Business was a bit bleh for me. This has SO much promise though. I think only some bands can pull of double albums and Titus is one of them.
