nelso330
Why? I heard the Rhino pressings were supposed to be good? Don't get me wrong they aren't "bad" but I think the question was which is better? Def originals, the Rhino is more punchy sounding but sacrifices Ian's vocals a bit...And the vocals are my favorite part of JD, so may be why I lean more toward the originals... I mean you can't go wrong either way but if you were big fan an original is worth it IMO
throughbeingcruel
A local place has the 2007 UP for $12.88 so I'm grabbing that shit. Fowty Dollaz
pizza face
I was just at a record show and there were a few substance albums with fifty dollar price tags. There was also a love will tear us apart single but I didn't even bother since I didn't want to spend too much money on records that day. I'm just gonna grab the reissue
mayoroftelevision
Nice. Time to sell off my original copy of Substance and the Warsaw bootleg (I bought to fill in the gaps of those songs left off Substance) before the average ebayer hears about these. paynegretzky
I have a Rhino pressing of New Order's Power Corruption & Lies and it skips and pops during a few tracks... And will be gladly purchasing Substance. I have never seen a physical copy here in the east coast of Canada.

DecayToDeath
Apparently these came out on Friday and it went completely below my radar. Anyone get them? How are they?
The Doctor
This is the Popmarket deal of the day: http://www.popmarket.com/features/37790796 Anybody got a working Popmarket coupon code?
glass realms
I'm getting Substance for $20 from Amazon UK due to a pricing error. But since the UK release isn't until next Friday, it won't ship until next week.

monsterrod
$150 for the box, $34 for Unknown Pleasures + Closer, $50 for Still & Substance
Bladewillisisdead
Fuck, it I didn't already have UP I'd buy that bundle in a heartbeat. Cant justify the $50 for Still/Substance right now, so that's a bummer.
monsterrod
Yeah, I'm debating that box pretty hard right now. I really shouldn't be buying another box with that Replacements set coming up, but damn, I do want this Joy Division set.
glass realms
Don't waste your money on that box set. It doesn't come with any artwork. If you look at the pics, there is nothing on each of the covers. You're better off buying the individual reissues.
monsterrod
Oh good to know. Thanks.
monsterrod
Considering how iconic the album art for Unknown Pleasures is, not including it in the box set is a pretty egregious error.
itsgoodtobefree
Yeah the box set is weirdly expensive for no reason also
paynegretzky
Just bought Substance at my local record shop. 33$ Canadian taxes included. Sounds good so far as I just got home and started to spin it. Comes with a download code. PM if you want it, I already have the CD uploaded to my computer.
Eliminator Jr.
Contemplating on getting a copy of substance, although I haven't listened to any JD in years minus Closer. But these are probably sticking around for a while, aren't they?

DecayToDeath
Did anyone get the new Still? Does it come in the special cloth package? I recalled from this article: “Each design replicates the original in painstaking detail, including the gatefold covers used for Still and Substance,” a press release adds. ...but Discogs doesn't mention it. I saw a copy in my local shop and it looked like a regular gatefold, but I didn't get a close enough look at it. Can anyone report from a personal copy? Can anyone report from a personal copy? The new reissue of Still is made to look like the second press of the album, which is almost like a gatefold folder. Not the nicer bound packaging of the OG.
