DecayToDeath
There's no way copyright could be an issue! On second thought, if they can get away with bootlegs, what's stopping these guys? Their claim is that you can make greatest hits albums of artists/mixtapes...
abovetheearth
It means If you are a record collector you could have us cut copies of the vinyl that is too precious to play but too good not to play. if any of you exist, i will drive to your house and beat you DecayToDeath, Vince Ives, kjkenney and 3 others

OU818
I feel like the most common question crowdfunding "entrepreneurs" ask themselves is, "why has nobody done this before?". But then they never actually think to answer that question......... maybe, just maybe, if this was a legal/viable/profitable service, it would be commonplace and decades old? nardes
I'm gonna keep an eye on this. My wife and I made a wedding soundtrack that we gave away as our thank you gifts for our wedding... It's all the songs that have meant something to us in our relationship and songs from the day... Would be neat to have something special like that mix on wax. Blaine
What do they do with all the mp3s their customers send them to create these one-of-a-kind records? That's one way, illegal as it is, to build your collection. Haha.
abovetheearth
how do we prove we own them. can I call it the new new mix tape. guess we'll tape songs from the radio and Mail those in.
radiatorhums
According to their site, they're using a ruling from the early 90s that it's legal to make non-commercial copies of music you own. I feel like sending it to someone else to make those copies might be a really liberal interpretation of that law. All backer money will be going to legal fees
just a normal guy kevin
Owning it means that you have it on your hard drive and non-commercial means you never shot and filmed a commercial for it, so this is all 100% legal.
