Rip
Anyone watch the first episode? Thoughts? I for one thought it was hilarious and I'm really looking forward to future episodes. I know a lot of people are kind of put-off by the "Office/Parks and Rec type filming" and the "adult humor with Muppets" but I thought it was great. DecayToDeath
I'll keep with it until it gets worse. The whole "behind the scenes of a show" thing gave me a 30 Rock vibe, especially with Piggy being kinda like a worse Jenna Maroney.
No This Is Patrick
I remember when it was first teased and I thought it would be interesting. Had "The Office" appearance and I absolutely loved that show (until Carell left). But I also had a get feeling that it could tank. After watching it, I thought it was a good show, very "Office" vibed. But I also agree with some reviews on it, I was thinking it'd be more... kid friendly? And I don't mean like a cartoon show, but some of the "adult" humor was kinda weird to hear from some beloved childhood characters. I don't know. Overall: it has potential but it can also go downhill.

My word for word description of the show to a friend who missed the first episode: "it's almost exactly 30 Rock but with muppets."
GreatGreenOne77
My wife and I were laughing our asses off. Not sure why so many people are uptight about it's emotional dealings, it's on at 8pm, so it's not a children's aimed program. Either way I am really impressed with the way they handled it all, and it's nice they worked every character back in.
stl_ben
Did any of you watch the Original Muppets show? or back when they appeared on SNL? Adult humor is not new for them.... holland623 and diabretic
GreatGreenOne77
Did any of you watch the Original Muppets show? or back when they appeared on SNL? Adult humor is not new for them.... I grew up watching it when I was a kid. When Muppet babies came along I was always like "where the hell did skeeter come from? She's never been in the other show!" Right? I still haven't watched this because my wife refuses. One of the few people I know who hates Muppets.
Snaggle Von Swift
I really enjoyed it, but don't know how confident I feel about it staying so good through a full season.

steventangent
Jenna Maroney was kind of based on Miss Piggy, it fits.
anthemforadoomed
As a huge Muppets fan, I like the show but I think it would benefit from being a little less up front with the adult humor. Part of what is great about the Muppets is their universality. It has always been clever with the mature humor and I feel a little like they're trying too hard to compete with Family Guy in the era of "adult children's television" Either way, it's good. I was stoked to see Riki Lindhome in the first episode, she's hilarious.

anthemforadoomed
Now that I've seen every episode, I'd like to retract my original statement, I think they do a good job at balancing the humor. The first episode is a little heavy handed but it's perfect after that.
