abovetheearth
I think it's absurd because Prawn isn't as dimensional. I love them too. MM has a different sound with each album. Just my opinion and not shitting on anyone. back to the excitement of this glorious record.

abovetheearth
That hurt moving mountains when they put out waves, though. my thoughts but for s/tI even tried to play it again and again this week. either way this split has probably made me the happiest
cwhitmuzik
see that genuinely confuses me, I feel s/t is hands down their best release and nothing is even close, very few records made it to that height in the 10s. Took me many listens to get into it but it's even still growing on me

Each listen I hear something I hadn't before and each listen is still so good. I'm in the MM is better than Prawn boat though. As good as Prawn is I think Mov Mou is just a little bit better. rcafilm
So, so stoked. Love both of these bands, don't think there's anything that could make me not get this.

The Butcha
I'm on the Prawn > MM boat. I think I need to listen to more of their stuff. What's you recommend Cholly?
abovetheearth
it is confusing. I should like it. but to me it's just flat footed songs that all sound the same. I didn't get any distinctions or anything. I still play it as I don't hate it but I'm trying to figure out what it is. I'm still open minded to keep trying. I can learn to like an album via taste > respect. they went from loud, drawn out, creatively kept me on my toes. I didn't want acoustic finger picking. again, not a knock. maybe I'll just get in the right mind. butch, start with Foreward.
The Butcha
butch, start with Foreward. Thanks dude, will do!
mrewest
Spinning S/T right now. These songs are so perfect.
omik11303
Originally I thought S/T was a big snoozefest, but after three or four listens through I really started to get into it. For me it still doesn't hold a candle to Pneuma or Foreward, but it's definitely good enough to stand tall next to those. It's just certain songs like "Hudson" that I honestly can not even get through that bring the whole record down for me. I can't listen to it straight through and that's an issue. I figured Hudson would be the song even S/T critics would like. The ending of this song could be my favorite part of the album.

brandy
Wonder if Topshelf will have an exclusive variant. Anyone know?
dapeebs
I'd assume if Triple Crown has an exclusive that Topshelf would too. Unless Prawn isn't signed to Topshelf anymore.
serum7
Not sure about a Topshelf variant, I would much rather get it from them.

rcafilm
Ah man... to hop on that light blue splatter or to wait to hear from Topshelf... I should just get on it and grab a clear Waves pressing while I'm at it, right? Hmm... maybe I'll give it til tomorrow... 300 of this can't sell out that quickly can it? Famous last words, I know.
