In the 80s a tape was around that price and when you adjust for inflation it would be like $17. Tapes are dirt cheap right now. Mark my words they're going to gain popularity and price in the next 2 years. I recently bought a nice Nakamichi deck and was surprised at how good cassettes can sound with proper equipment, and have been grabbing lots of cassettes ever since.
