dreamover
http://thirdmanrecords.com/news/the-third-man-vinyl-pressing-plant/ So Third Man is opening a pressing plant next year in Detroit that will house 8 (!?!) brand new pressing machines. Fowty Dollaz
I don't listen to a lot of Third Man bands, but I am all for new plants. Wahoo.
natenomm
This is good news for a lot of people. It frees up United for other labels, and Third Man stuff won't be pressed on United anymore. It's a win-win!

KJL95
This is great. I know Jack White is always showing love for Detroit. This could really help create jobs around the area too. All around great idea

Bhemblem
Hopefully this means I'll be getting less emails saying that my vinyl order has been delayed another month or two.
youspinmeround
The Third Man Detroit location opens on Black Friday(Retail store)
steventangent
This is awesome. Really looking forward to checking out the Detroit store, too...I'm thinking of maybe going on Friday but it's tough because we have a newborn. The Gories are playing, though! And those Tamla reissues!
sabukweli
I can't stand dude's music, but this is unequivocally great news for the vinyl-buying public. I agree that they'll probably be taking on outside work too, and as another Murder Mitten representer, I'm grateful for him making it happen in Detroit. birdwell
Man....wish I cared more about this label. I like the direction they're taking everything....just not a lot coming out of this label that I care about.
allenh
I shall write to the Queen and ask that she knights that nice Mr White in recognition of this Joking aside this is really good news
poweredbytrust
not interested in the label or JW's music at all, but this surely is great news. This must be a huge investment and I hope it will pay off.
timsimmons
I think the really cool news is that there is a company making brand new presses (according to Swank in the p4k interview). I think that bodes well for record pressing in general.
russtcb
LOVE this news! I hope they offer tours at some point as I've never toured a pressing plant.
