LIGMA_BALLZ
Anyone use this or know of a better way to get alerts when specific items hit discogs? I’ve missed out on a couple rare wants lately that went for really good prices and it bums me out.
yes chef
Never heard of Discops. I just have my wantlist bookmarked or in a tab open everywhere and refresh it constantly. Justinadamk

@@ron
I get daily emails but always wondered if you could get notifications when things get listed
MCDELTAT
In the past I've used some browser extensions like Distill to monitor for things that go in and out of stock quickly. Might look for something more user friendly but that's probably the product type that what you want. With Distill you have to specify a part of a webpage you want it to monitor. For example on Discogs you can watch that text "No items for sale for this Release." If that changes, then one is up for sale.
vinyl21
Weird.. never head of this either. Is it any faster than adding an item to your wantlist? I just get notifications that way.
DecayToDeath
Distil is pretty instantaneous & works on pretty much any website (if you've got it set to checking every couple seconds or so), but it also is constantly opening and closing new tabs in the background which is maybe a little annoying MCDELTAT
tape
ACAB includes Discops One Hundred Fifty-Two, kyacrash, poweredbytrust and 14 others 11
kyacrash
never heard of or used discops (sounds cool), but if you waiting for the discogs alert email is definitely too slow for grails.
stl_ben
New to me. In theory it sounds great. Thought I would set one up, and probems I see to start with: You have to make an alert for each item individually, you can't just import your want list. Once you make a search the maximum time it will be saved for is 90 days (the item I was setting it up for hasn't sold since 2018) so sounds like constantly having to re-add it. You have to put the most you will pay, unlike all other feeds that just default to "any" Finally I went to save the search despite the above problems and got "Failed to create alert" So maybe this is really new and they are ironing out stuff...? apirk
Was really hoping this thread was about something else Maybe cops using Discogs to bust bootleggers, I don't know the possibilities are endless MCDELTAT
