niblips
I ended up filing a claim through PayPal, and thanks to their 180 day money back guarantee, I was refunded for my purchase (minus 1 cent). I was really expecting them to to say, sorry there's nothing we can do because Bandbox has essentially gone under, but that was not the case. The process was pretty easy through PayPal. The only glitch was I couldn't complete the forms for the full amount of the purchase. I kept getting an error stating that the claim could not be for the full amount..... not sure what's up with that, so i filed the claim for the full amount minus a penny. I received my refund today. Sanspants
Check Amazon if there's a record you ordered and still really want. I found the Barbie pic disc and what I'm pretty sure is the BB pressings of an Anthrax and Matchbook Romance album. These are being sold by Amazon. faaip de oiad
LIGMA_BALLZ
Yea I don’t get it, I’ve seen the superchunk exclusive for sale on discogs and some other sites. I don’t know if it’s legit, but if they had these why didn’t they just ship them out?

Assuming these guys were really that bad off I’d say it’s safe to say they couldn’t afford the labour required to fulfill orders.

Different sort of bankruptcy as they immediately went into receivership and all of their assets are under the control of Lighthouse (https://lighthousemanagement.com/). Nobody knows what Lighthouse intends to do, but liquidation/auction of what they have is likely. Part of the mess is that it's still difficult to prove which records were actually pressed and who has them. Of the records that were pressed, Bandbox never paid the pressing plants for some, so those are still owned by the plants and not with Lighthouse. Customers probably have a better shot at those records than getting anything from Lighthouse, records or refunds, because we're the lowest priority of creditors. rrd
new email: Quote To Whom It May Concern: As you know, Bandbox filed an Assignment for Benefit of Creditors. The Assignee has now entered into an agreement to sell the assets of Bandbox. The Assignee has filed a motion requesting that the Court approve the sale, the distribution of the net proceeds and the final report and discharge of the Assignee. Linked at the bottom of this email you will find the documents filed in this case. The Court has scheduled a hearing on this for June 6th, 2024. As part of the sale, the purchaser, Haughton Elevator Company LLC has agreed to facilitate the fulfillment of certain of the prepaid orders outstanding with Bandbox. To that end, Haughton has issued the following statement: “We at Haughton know first-hand how upsetting Bandbox’s cease in operations has been. We diligently worked with Lighthouse Management Group to reach this agreement and are well positioned to make this right. Upon approval, VinylBox, our partner, will begin the process to ensure customers receive any available vinyl orders that were originally placed with Bandbox.” Further information from Haughton Elevator Company LLC is available at https://vinylbox.co and [email protected]. seems outstanding orders will get fulfilled?
