I can see trading the Pittsburgh pick + a prospect for Talbot. I dont understand how thats so hard to believe. If Im the Oilers GM and Im sitting on a ton of young talent that moving just two of them (considering Im getting connor mcdavid) can instantly make my team dangerous, why wouldnt you? Trade those guys for picks in this deep draft (maybe grab McDavids linemate?) or trade the picks for a stud defenseman that the Oilers desperately need. Because lets be real, just cause they have McDavid doesnt mean theyll be a playoff team anytime soon. Its not being clueless, its thinking smart.
