Scruffy...the janitor
I started the Harry Potter series for the 8th time today. I regret nothing!
mcm1610
I started Emile Zola's Germinal[/i] last week and like it a lot more than I thought I would. I'm in book (or is it part?) 3 right now. I want to read more Vonnegut, the Game of Thrones books, whatever they're called, and the full Les Miserables book, as well as finishing a lot of the non-fiction I've started (Wealth of Nations, Power in a Union, General Theory...). alogical
Physics of The Future by Michio Kaku. Really interesting read if you like either of the two subjects stated in the title. It's pretty cool because all of the technology he talks about in the book already exists, which blows my mind.
fuckoffleatherjacket
Just finished "Laughter in the Dark" by Nabokov and started "King, Queen, Knave" by him. I'm reading all 18 of his novels and after this one I have only 2 more to go.
fuckoffleatherjacket
I'll bump this to try to revive this... Since the last post I finished reading Nabokov's bibliography, then read Hunger by Knut Hamson, finished The Magic Mountain which I had taken a rather long break from, then read The Master and Margarita by Bulgakov which was not that good, then Herzog by Saul Bellow which was awesome, and currently reading Journey to The End of the Night by Ferdinand-Louis Celine which is great. thejesseb
Started on the Game of Thrones series a bit ago. Currently on the second one. Got a ways to go.
sirrichardrichard
I Wear the Black Hat....in fact anything by Chuck Klosterman is great. Finished Silver Linings Playbook, Louder the Hell: History of Heavy Metal, almost done The Ocean at the End of the Lane and halfway through Game of Thrones. I had to read Germinal in History class in University....I remember it being entertaining (well, as entertaining as a depressing portrayal of the industrial revolution in 18th century France can be)
jdtg
Just finished Stephen King's Joyland, not bad. Less eerie, "hard boiled" crime as expected but it was a good quick read. Just started in on Choke, so far not bad, standard Palahniuk
andy.
Anyone from the Maryland area going to the Chuck Palahniuk (Fight Club, Invisible Monsters, Damned) event in October?
mitch.
I finished The Road to Los Angeles by John Fante the other day. I wasn't really into it, Ask the Dust is far better in my opinion. batman

zacaroo21
I just re-read the odyssey for the first time since 8th grade. Forgot how fun of a story that is once you finally straighten out who is who and their relation to one another

mcm1610
I read the second Walking Dead novel about Woodbury. It's actually really bad. The story itself isn't bad, but it's the most amateur shit ever. I'm 600+ pages into the Game of Thrones. Only 3800 pages to go before I'm all caught up in the series! jtcohenour

jtcohenour
I re-read Cormac McCarthy's "The Road" and Sam Harris's "Letter to a Christian Nation" on my travel days from my trip to Denver last week. I need new books. I really liked The Road. I thought the movie was decent as well.
