dreamover
pretty sure the gish in question was a pressing on caroline (USA) in 2000. there were two HUT (UK) pressings. One in 1991, the other in 1994. The newest remaster that was released a couple years ago has a foil gatefold jacket and was put out by EMI/Virgin

dreamover
why do you think this one is from 2000? Because it has the same barcode as mine. It's possible it was printed sometime after 2000 as these were kept in print for more than a year.
dreamover
there are two from caroline one from 91 and a remastered one from '00. Source? For both claims? To my knowledge, Gish wasnt pressed in the US until 2000 and nothing was ever remastered until 2011.

I was going by Discogs but I could be completely wrong.. http://www.discogs.com/Smashing-Pumpkins-Gish/release/4386949 and http://www.discogs.com/Smashing-Pumpkins-Gish/release/673473 nyhi

I got one in Japan. but now I am thinking about keeping the UK version and getting rid of the repress. nyhi
dreamover
are those Hut releases harder to find ? I got one in Japan. but now I am thinking about keeping the UK version and getting rid of the repress. I would think so. Especially because they're 23 years+ years old. Apparently there was also a korean and german pressing in 92/91.

I'll probably have to do a bit more research to figure out which HUT version I have. nyhi
jackholexxxx
I don't understand.. the matrix almost never matches the barcode. or am I misunderstanding it? what am I matching? the matrix matches what discogs says .. (is this what you mean?) Match the matrix and barcode with what is on discogs. The matrix and barcode info you posted matches the 2000 pressing. I see. but the problem was there was only a matrix on one of the listings. but I found out that it's a duplicate submission anyway.. 1991 US pressing doesn't exist. thanks anyway.. Ryan8765
According to BC's recent post on the Nexus, it looks like the new album will be out December 9th. I for one am looking forward to it.

khaotix
Sorry for the image intensive post! Bee* warned! I'm about halfway through the album, and it sounds amazing. The bass is more pronounced, which adds a lot of weight to the electronic elements throughout. It sounds very refreshing, and beautiful. The actual record is super thick and heavy, which is the first thing I noticed before even opening the package. Very heavy, and sturdy vinyl and packaging. The cover is the same reflective glossy you've seen on all of the other re-releases. Very nice, but definitely a fingerprint magnet, lol. Turn the page, you wash ya hands. Turn the page, you wash ya hands. And then you turn the page, and then you wash your hands. Wish there was a booklet. *Also it came with this freebie, dead in the mailer. free bee. get it? is it a bee? I have no idea. 1/1? Ghost_Parlour* and Burkazoid

highfives
Whatever Billy did to the version of Eye on the Deluxe Edition is fucking amazing. Damn. And if Adore would've been more like the Matt Walker reimagined versions of these songs, I think it would have been far more commercially successful, because those versions are awesome.
