negavinyl
Vault novelties update Chicago and Japan live albums. EDIT: Man. those went quick. Under a minute. I happened to randomly check yesterday and they were already gone. I think the only thing I've ever scored through these drops was the Jack and the Bricks album. BuzzersonKillwell
Passed on the flexi. Not worth it.
fondfarewell
How much was the bundle?
jos464
$
fondfarewell
Yeah that's stupid. I would've guessed $40. Remember when flexis were things that were given away stapled in magazines? Oy.

fondfarewell
The flexi was free with the purchase of the limited edition shirt.... So the gold ink commanded an extra $25?
stl_ben
So the gold ink commanded an extra $25? Yes like most other variants they command higher prices. What record company doesn't charge more for different color releases? (no need to make a list , yes I know some charge base for variants.) Mars
$50 for a t shirt? Seems reasonable.

(no need to make a list , yes I know some charge base for variants.) I get your point. I guess I just don't believe the thinking was "people will pay $50 for this t-shirt, and oh hey, let's be cool and throw in a limited flexi for free". I think it was "people will spend $50 on this as a bundle to get the flexi".
stl_ben
Yeah it could have been labeled either way. If it said buy this $50 flexi and get a free shirt...it would have sold out too. The joy of obsessive fans! Market it however you want and not worry about stock sticking around for long.
stl_ben
So it looks like Barnes & Noble have a TMR 7" Box set for sale with very little info: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/third-man-records-7-box-set-b-n-exclusive-the-white-stripes/1122655998?ean=0813547021588 thoughts? timsimmons
Hopefully its something interesting and not just a best of the 7"s they have put out over the past 5 years.
stl_ben
The link says White Stripes...but with it coming out this Friday Im betting it's Dead Weather. My guess has been its a box set of their four previously released standard 7"s.
timsimmons
Makes sense.

My guess has been its a box set of their four previously released standard 7"s. Hmm... $45 for 4 previously released dead weather singles is quite expensive, even for B&N. I know it says 7" vinyl, but my first thought was maybe it's some sort of Third Man Books title. Language Lessons Vol 1 is about that price. Maybe there's a language lessons vol 2 7" box or something. TMR and B&N seems like a weird pairing. Having an exclusive 7" box at B&N for one of Jack's bands makes no sense as they have no problems selling that stuff through TMR's store. stl_ben
Hmm... $45 for 4 previously released dead weather singles is quite expensive, even for B&N. But its a vinyl box set, so 4 records ($20) + 7" box ($25) = right on target.
