Most fun job ever, but then got a new manager and shit changed for the worse. Only job I've ever walked out on without two weeks notice. Killer discounts, was 30% off used when I was there, and cool getting first dibs on stuff coming in. Would be a great first job I think, I was in my mid 20s when I transitioned from GoDaddy to there. I know the Tempe manager pretty well, Brett he's the Fucking man, so if you decide to go for it and want a reference at that one, let me know I'd be happy to get in touch. Alright, thanks a lot dude, I really appreciate it. Chandler is the biggest shit show and I know the manager is a jackass. The employee turnover there is comical. Tempe dude is great though, he's actually the guy who helped me put together my stereo for the first time when I had no clue what I was doing back on RSD 14. I was thinking of putting in an application for the new Mesa store that is opening since that's probably where they're most in need of workers. I know it's something I'd be good at since I know a lot about a bunch of different music and am pretty knowledgeable about record prices and if I don't know about one know how to figure it out. Chandler rant: What is most frustrating about Chandler is that it could all be fixed pretty easily with the right manager, but right now the trade counter is so fucked it's almost funny. They overpay for my garbage and don't want to do shit on better items. Tons of mispriced stuff too, and it's never adjusted based on the market if there's a RP or something. I've walked out of there with some crazy deals, like a VG+/VG+ copy of Are You Experienced for $8 and I used one of those coupons that you can totally abuse. Original tri color label. It's a bunch of stuff that could be fixed and I know I could teach people but it wouldn't matter because nobody is going to listen to me since I am 16. I couldn't ever work in Chandler, I'd tear my hair out. And don't get me started on what a clusterfuck RSD is at all of the Zias. They should put the stuff behind the counter and take 5 people or so inside at a time who go up to the counter, and ask for what they want. Once a few people leave, some more enter. Makes sure everyone gets what they want. BFRSD15 with Deja was a complete shit show, and they way they hide stuff all throughout the store meant people were literally trying to run each other over. There's actually a new girl there who I was surprised was actually competent/helpful/informed me of upcoming releases/reissues, so props to her, but basically nobody else was. I make my money right now reselling all manner of things since I haven't had a job so I know I could do that and kick ass. Chandler has what I lovingly call the "wall of failures" that's supposedly the nice stuff they got in but it's all overpriced stuff that has probably been RPd by now. Only reason I go there is because I can use the 20% coupons and trade my garbage to get stuff for dirt cheap. Tempe and the other locations are cool though.
