In order to get anywhere, I think you have to just know when to be assertive and when to be nice. Still a balance I'm learning, I tend to go overboard one way or the other. But I can be a lot more assertive and aggressive than people think ahaha. she is a crazy person who always has *something* wrong with her (and gets very, uh, confused about things) so who knows what actually happened in this situation, ahaha. RE: being nice i had a friend who was going through some really rough stuff. i painted him a portrait of his dog for free, he posted it on IG, and so far i've gotten at least 3 commissions to paint other peoples pets. being nice works!
